Simakan Rural District (Persian: دهستان سيمكان)[3] is in the Central District of Bavanat County, Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Simakan.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 2,047 in 522 households.[5] There were 1,859 inhabitants in 572 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,512 in 834 households. The most populous of its 44 villages was Simakan, with 410 people.[2]
