Fasarud Rural District (Persian: دهستان فسارود)[3] is in Fasarud District of Darab County, Fars province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Madevan.[5]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the Central District) was 8,531 in 1,988 households.[6] There were 8,479 inhabitants in 2,315 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 7,819 in 2,421 households. The most populous of its 47 villages was Madevan, with 1,488 people.[2]

After the census, Fasarud Rural District and Paskhan Rural District were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Fasarud District.[4] In 2022, the village of Paskhan was elevated to the status of a city.[8]
