careless removing of stubs resulting in categorisation being dropped[edit]

Hi, I have seen a few examples of a stub being removed, leaving the article without any category. This undo's all the good work of those doing stub sorting -- please revise the text on this project page to clearly indicate that the stub tag contains categorisation which needs to be retained if the tag is going to be removed. Would this proposed addition to the directions be helpful? I am thinking it would put the articles in to the uncategorized category without asking the unstubifier to categorize the article or to leave an incorrect stub tag Jeepday 15:51, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • If the article is no longer a stub and the stub is the only category the article is in please add the tag {{Uncategorized}} when unstubifing, then a category specialist can help make the article easier to find by adding the appropriate categories.
