90's PB list

Hey, I did further required work on this and nominated it for FLC with you as a co-nom. Hope you don't mind. Yashthepunisher (talk) 11:39, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

@Yashthepunisher: Np. I will try to address some of the issues once I have some time. - Vivvt (Talk) 16:00, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi Vivvt, the reason I replaced the Daily Mail source with Firstpost, is because its reliability has been questioned. What do you think? Yashthepunisher (talk) 14:05, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
@Yashthepunisher: I did not know that. Please restore the reference. - Vivvt (Talk) 15:48, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi Vivvt, can you please resolve the remaining comments of Force Radical at the 2000's PB list FLC? Yashthepunisher (talk) 14:13, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
Can you resolve the image related issue's of FR? It's been a while since you commented on the flc page. I would do it myself, but I'm not very good at it. Yashthepunisher (talk) 10:40, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
I will work on it soon. I am also busy in real life. Good work on PB 90's FLC. - Vivvt (Talk) 12:13, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

Happy Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Lohri and Bihu to you!

May all your endeavours have a fruitful beginning and prosperous ending!  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 10:03, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

@Ssven2: Thanks and belated wishes to you as well. :) - Vivvt (Talk) 09:21, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

I would appreciate your comments here, Vivvt. Its my second attempt at a Bollywood awards list. Do let me know if you wish to leave comments at the FLC by pinging me. Thanks.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 08:58, 21 February 2018 (UTC)

WikiCup 2018 March newsletter

And so ends the first round of the competition, with 4 points required to qualify for round 2. With 53 contestants qualifying, the groups for round 2 are slightly smaller than usual, with the two leaders from each group due to qualify for round 3 as well as the top sixteen remaining users.

Our top scorers in round 1 were:

  • United States Aoba47 led the field with a featured article, 8 good articles and 42 GARs, giving a total of 666 points.
  • Germany FrB.TG , a WikiCup newcomer, came next with 600 points, gained from a featured article and masses of bonus points.
  • India Ssven2, another WikiCup newcomer, was in third place with 403 points, garnered from a featured article, a featured list, a good article and twelve GARs.
  • United States Ceranthor, India Numerounovedant, Minnesota Carbrera, Netherlands Farang Rak Tham and Romania Cartoon network freak all had over 200 points, but like all the other contestants, now have to start again from scratch. A good achievement was the 193 GARs performed by WikiCup contestants, comparing very favourably with the 54 GAs they achieved.

Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 1 but before the start of round 2 can be claimed in round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews.

If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Precious anniversary

awards for Indian films
and civility
... you were recipient
no. 1602 of Precious,
a prize of QAI!

--Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:53, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

@Gerda Arendt: Thank you much. :) - Vivvt (Talk) 20:28, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

Bollywood portal

I don't intend to oppose your edits there. But if someone has worked in Bollywood (albeit rarely) and has better recognition elsewhere, they should not be listed in the Bollywood portal, right? In the case of Salil Ankola, it's because he is better known for his cricket and TV career (while having only five film roles) isn't it? Makes sense, that's why I didn't include Ajith, Vijay and Suriya filmographies there. --Kailash29792 (talk) 18:13, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

Thats correct. Now, when I look at some of the portal entries, I think those should be taken down as well. Like, Ravi Shankar, Dhanush, Visharoopam awards. Just for the same reason that we will not be considering Dhanush for Hollywood portal because he has done one English film, the same logic should be applied to entries included under Bollywood portal. - Vivvt (Talk) 18:23, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
Although Kamal has confirmed that Vishwaroop was a straight Hindi film, not dubbed from the Tamil Vishwaroopam, you still removed its accolades page from the portal, because the Hindi version received no award nominations, right? If that's the case, I agree. ----Kailash29792 (talk) 06:33, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
Thats correct. Not a single award ceremony considered it as a Hindi film and had received no nominations. - Vivvt (Talk) 06:50, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

Bharat

Per this source, the filming has started. Yashthepunisher (talk) 12:33, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Seems like a muhurat shot to me. Feel free to revert if you think otherwise. Article itself mentioned that principle of photography will start in July. - Vivvt (Talk) 16:42, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Category:National Film Award (India) winners

Is there a reason you are removing pages from this category without replacing with another? Coderzombie (talk) 15:50, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

@Coderzombie: I'm in the process of moving them to the appropriate categories by creating new and relevant categories. Give me a day or two to get this done. Thanks for asking and not reverting. - Vivvt (Talk) 16:59, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
Cool, good stuff! Coderzombie (talk) 17:01, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

TFL notification

Hi, Vivvt. I'm just posting to let you know that Jnanpith Award – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for June 1. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 22:28, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

Encyclopaedia of Indian Cinema

Whenever citing Encyclopaedia of Indian Cinema as a source, please do so like this: {{cite book | url=https://indiancine.ma/texts/indiancine.ma%3AEncyclopedia_of_Indian_Cinema/text.pdf | title=Encyclopaedia of Indian Cinema | publisher= [[Oxford University Press]] | last1=Rajadhyaksha | first1=Ashish | last2=Willemen | first2=Paul | year=1998 | origyear=1994 | isbn=019-563579-5 | ref=harv}}. It is a 1998 edition, but is complete and free for viewing nonetheless. --Kailash29792 (talk) 04:59, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

FLC

Hi Vivvt, can you please review my ongoing FLC? Yashthepunisher (talk) 02:58, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

@Yashthepunisher: I dont want to spoil your FLC but I think its a case of unnecessary fork. There are less than 15 entries and it could very well be incorporated in the parent article. - Vivvt (Talk) 13:07, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
Okay but what about the size of the parent article and the fact that the list is likely to expand in future. Yashthepunisher (talk) 13:19, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
@Yashthepunisher: With the recent political scenarios in the country, any of the major parties like BJP, Congress, Shiv Sena or RJD is unlikely change their presidents very frequently. So, I doubt it will expand in the near future. - Vivvt (Talk) 13:26, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

Nice work so far. Any GA/FA plans? Also, you could join this event and list your creations/expansions. --Kailash29792 (talk) 10:01, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

@Kailash29792: Nothing planned as of now. GA could be a possibility. You can put your suggestions on the talk page if you have any. I am not into film related articles these days so would not like to join the challenge. - Vivvt (Talk) 05:44, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
If you plan on rewriting the plot section, please do so using this source which is already being used. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:29, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
Sure. But I am not aware if Google drive links are allowed. - Vivvt (Talk) 05:20, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
They're not, but I have sourced the book in the plot section, and instead of a URL to the G-Drive PDF, I've put "title-link=The Bollywood Saga". --Kailash29792 (talk) 05:27, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

Both the tracks have won many prestigious awards and have even been praised a lot by critics and listeners. We need to add information to the pages, rather than deleting it. Please contact the creator of a page prior to making any such change to it. Ayush Gupta 05:30, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

A suspected sock

You need to see this[1] since I strongly believe that they are sock puppets who are blatantly reverting your edits on National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer and I have reported them for sock puppetry here[2]. Keep an eye. Regards.-Kishfan (talk) 20:46, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

@Kishfan: You may also want to keep an eye on Sunlitsky - Vivvt (Talk) 17:06, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
@Vivvt: You revert the edits in National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer without any reason and putting a warning in my page. I don't understand.-User talk:Sunlitsky

Regarding Dhadak (song) page

On what basis did you even propose the deletion of the page ???
15:38, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

@Ayush Gupta At Wikipedia: Read WP:NSONG and stop creating articles for every song sung by Ghoshal. - Vivvt (Talk) 05:29, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Regarding your "Deletion" work !

Stop behaving as if you are the boss of all wikipedia editors. And i'm just adding the songs that are popular and trending all over. Just check all the details of the track i've created pages for. You even nominated deletion of the page for the song "Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai" which is both Filmfare and IIFA awards in 2005. Just improve your knowledge of songs and stop nominating every page created for Shreya Ghoshal's song.
Ayush Gupta 11:34, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

@Ayush Gupta At Wikipedia: You need to learn that Wikipedia is not a school project. - Vivvt (Talk) 11:38, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
@Vivvt: I know that and you better not try to be the boss here. Please improve ypur knowledge about songs before editing pages related to songs.Ayush Gupta 11:42, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
@Ayush Gupta At Wikipedia: Good. Happy learning! - Vivvt (Talk) 11:44, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

@Ayush Gupta At Wikipedia: Your reply to Vivvt is rude. The material added to Wikipedia must have been published previously by a reliable source. Editors may not add their own views to articles simply because they believe them to be correct. Please also read WP:NOTTRUTH and remember html and YouTube is not a reliable source.-Kishfan (talk) 12:17, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
@Kishfan: Please read what I've said before blindly following your friend Vivvt. I'm not being rude and this is not the only deed of your friend. He has been doing it with lots of other editors too. And I know that the pages must have reliable and trustable sources. I gave the links to User:Vivvt because we were having a conversation about some pages about Hindi songs. Please don't interfere if you don't know what the matter is.
(Ayush Gupta (talk)) 16:12, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
Listen Ayush Gupta At Wikipedia, there is already an SPI going on against you. Do not try to be over smart since there are editors more experienced and smarter than you so assume good faith. I exactly know what you have been doing and and how many sock puppets you are operating with. If you will continue like this you will be looking for a block soon. That is all from my side and wouldn't like to stretch this discussion with you any further.-Kishfan (talk) 16:44, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
@Kishfan: Mind your words dear and not everyone is a sock puppet here just like you are of User:Vivvt. And I am too working to provide correct and proper information to people, so Stay WP:civil and Do not bite the newcomers. Besides, i'm no newcomer, i've been editing for almost 3 years now.(Ayush Gupta (talk))04:55, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

Raja Harishchandra

Hello:

The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Raja Harishchandra has been completed.

I added a mention that Mumbai was formerly known as Bombay in the introduction. I am unsure what the accepted practice is when referring to historical events when the city was called Bombay. I have left the name as Mumbai but wondered whether it should in fact be Bombay? I leave that to you.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Best of luck with the GA process.

Regards,

Twofingered Typist (talk) 12:52, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

@Twofingered Typist: Thank you very much for your edits. I am not sure of the historical references as well. Lets wait to hear it from the reviewers. Thanks again. - Vivvt (Talk) 13:15, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Articles for Deletion

I believe that you've been notified about this before. When nominating an article for deletion, you must explain WHY the topic is not notable. Today you have ten new AfDs for songs, and seven of them have the identical rationale "Does not justify WP:NSONGS". Why not? You are going to have to do better than that: see WP:BEFORE. Now voters must do the research and construct the arguments when you should have done that yourself. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 15:28, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
