Your edit[edit]

Hello, thanks for your edit to Alex Klein, but I've had to undo it per my edit summary. Not only are infoboxes a hot-button issue on classical music articles, the English Wikipedia has a highly fraught relationship with Wikidata due to questions about its reliability and its vulnerability to vandalism. The discussions linked from Wikipedia:Wikidata and Template talk:Infobox person/Wikidata give a taste of this, but make heavy reading even for experienced Wikipedia editors. As a new user I would avoid using templates like {{Infobox person/Wikidata}} without a specific reason. If a particular person told you that using Wikidata in this way was a good idea, I would appreciate it if you let them know about this message.

However on the bright side, your edit did alert me to an accessibility problem in {{Uses Wikidata}}, which I've fixed. Graham87 04:42, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Wiki-Wednesdays Canada/Canadian Visual Artists[edit]

Hello Vicstasiuk7,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Wiki-Wednesdays Canada/Canadian Visual Artists for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hello, Vicstasiuk7,
It was a big mistake for you to put this page into the main space of the project. This is an event page, not an article. Liz Read! Talk! 02:03, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Liz: As a WP:ATD should this be transwikified or moved to user space? Thanks. VickKiang (talk) 02:17, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the page as it was one big huge advertisement which does not belong in article space. It can be restored to a subpage in your user space if you wish. -- Whpq (talk) 03:24, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will try to change the content to be more similar to the group of University Librarians and have been helping me.
This is my first event - I am being assisted by NavinoEvans, Erniee jo, and EmilyCJ.
Once I do this, I would like to be able to post a meetup pase similar to this one - Wikipedia:Meetup/Western University/1Lib1Ref 2020 - Wikipedia Vicstasiuk7 (talk) 11:13, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Liz,
Thanks for updating me regarding the status of this Meetup page. We have been informed of a successful grant submission to continue this work until February 2024 from the Wikimedia Foundation (General Support).
I have sent a request for it to be undeleted this morning.

Hello Thank you for letting me know so quickly.
I am working on a project for visual artists in Canada to help them with wikidata and wikipedia.
We were trying to draft an article to show our over 45 registrants coming to our webinar for this Wednesday.
If you can help us before that it would great.
I am working with several other contributors on this project.

Vicstasiuk7 I added some sources, see last paragraph of the draft. What you want to look for are galleries or museums where she has exhibited that have articles about them so I added sources for Galt Museum & Archives, McMaster Museum of Art and Rideau Hall. What would be very helpful is at least one critical review of her work from a recognized art critic. Everything I have found are interviews with her with no critical commentary.
