Team Rocket

A condition of fair use is that the image is used to illustrate the subject of the article or used in combination with critical commentary. Incluing >15 images that meet neither of these criteria and are only used for decoration is not compatible with fair use. imgages of the pokemon, should really only appear on the apge about that particular pokemon, unless there is an extremely good reason to include it in another article.--Peta 02:20, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Team Rocket again

The way the character names (not the organization name) are changed here don't work well [1] -

The edit must go like this...

Jessie {{nihongo|Musashi|Japanese|}}, etc. But, Roketto-Dan IS Team Rocket in Japanese, so the way that's phrased shall stay the same. WhisperToMe 03:29, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that happens sometimes. Honestly, I'd pile the blame on the Camp Lazlo vandal. Even so, I felt like I should have told you about this anyway. :) WhisperToMe 16:04, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove the picture credits I put up on the live actors who played Jessie and James in New York in August 2006. If you do it one more time, I will report you for vandalism. Thank you. NoseNuggets 10:34 AM US EDT Aug 18 2006.

Just for the record, I took the picture in question, along with some others in the Pikachu, Veterans Stadium and Citizens Bank Park articles as well. I feel whomever makes the photos on their own should be credited with a note in small print in thumbnail pictures and some gallerys as they are entered under GNU licenses. Query on removal of Pokémon images on May (Pokémon)

Thanks for your revert of May (Pokémon) on 27 August 2004 14:53 SGT. I agree with you that it was getting really silly for those extremely redundant references. However, could you (or any one else, for that matter) tell me why the Pokémon images were removed? I know there is an appropriate reason, but I don't know what. Can you enlighten me? -- A. Exeunt 07:54, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, those were decorations. I see. Thanks for explaining. -- A. Exeunt 07:01, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

God...

I've had a lot of stress at home, now this?! Seriously, guys, this is driving me crazy. I really don't like when people delete my section that I spent literal hours working on without telling me first. Geez, I was just adding a little fun. All the sites I go to now start out fun, but the stupid rules drive me out. Seriously, next thing you know you'll be hacking into my computer and deleting my desktop because it has images of "copyrighted characters" or something like that. This is where I got my inspiration from. With my luck, you'll probably say this one is fine because I'm always just punching bag nowadays.

Seriously, does anyone go to this page just to say hello? There's no atmosphere in Wikipedia anymore. It's all just "fact this, delete that, waste hour's of someone's spare time making userboxes."

AND WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE about my userboxes?!

Plus, that policy page is irrevalent to what I had added. Someone cut me some slack. The only two people who even acknowledged my talk page was a TALK page, not a complaints page, well, one is blocked for stupid sockpuppeting rumors and I didn't even get to know her and one is parentally blocked off the internet now.

Oh yeah, and, three tildes. Go ahead, waste our time by giving me an angry reply. DarknessLord

please help me?

i am a pokemon fan but i feel sad when i buy a pokemon emerald version. beacause when ni ended up the game and beat the elite four when it start it saya that the file had been erased due to corrupted or damage. so when i've read that message i became nervous and shaking always thinking what did i do? so i managed to investigate the product box. when i've read the manual, the page was incomplete! and also the design is different from the other game store. is that possible that the product that i've buy was fake? if that so how can i buy an original one, can you help me to know and specify what is the appropriate design and the content of that product? thanks for giving me a chance to ask you on my problem. hope you will reply on this message of mine. by the way thanks for sharing your article to the net it really help us users to know more things about pokemon. hope you continue your beautiful articles about pokemon. good luck! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.106.214.237 (talkcontribs)

Bypassing userbox redirects

Hi, The Raven's Apprentice. I'm just curious, are you doing anything to help bypass all the redirects you're creating by your userbox moves? The backlog is getting quite large. Rfrisbietalk 16:28, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox Help

Um, hi. I'm Kingy. I tried to make a userbox, but it looks kinda stupid. Could you help me out? The picture is a little flat/unprofessional looking, and the colors clash. You can find it here [[2]]. Thanx.

Userbox migration scope

(Copied/pasted from Andypandy.UK's page because this seems to apply to this situation too.) Hey, thanks for trying to help, but I really don't think the userbox migration is supposed to migrate all userboxes - only the controversial POV ones. Things like the astronomy interest userbox are helpful to the project and should be encouraged (i.e. they should remain in Template space). I posted something about this at Wikipedia talk:Userbox migration#Scope_of_page. If you don't agree, please still stop moving boxes while this is cleared up. —AySz88\^-^ 20:18, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Actually, you're probably a better recipient for this message than Andy was. I am guessing (by Andy's reply to me earlier) that you may have placed too much emphasis on the "discussion" parts of WP:UM. Please focus on the "English implementation features" to avoid confusion with the German implementation, which clarifies why things like the browser boxes should remain in Template space. —AySz88\^-^ 03:17, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please notice that the "principle" you noted on my talk page is not part of WP:UM, but something that someone proposed, perhaps thinking that the page was some sort of policy: that's why it's in double-brackets (see the note that says double-brackets means "this needs consensus") and has a "[?]" after it to the straw poll (which no longer shows anything meaningful because that page doesn't have many participants who were familiar with the original problems). I'm not aware of anything that indicates that things in the double-brackets are meant to be active, and it's my opinion that most of those are additions which, after everything calmed down, were put in by people who have been overgeneralizing or overreacting towards POV userboxes. —AySz88\^-^ 17:40, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I just checked the Userbox migration talk page - NThurston commented that there is "emerging consensus against that particular line", so you might want to investigate that further. —AySz88\^-^ 17:44, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
AySz88 is correct. WP:GUS is only for moving controversial userboxes out of Template:. Any userboxes that could be helpful to the project should remain where they are. -- kenb215 talk 14:18, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reference on May's Age

Hey Raven, thanks for that revert. Your reasoning made quite a lot of sense, even though I had doubts that those three sites I referenced were actually fansites like you said they were. A warning to LinkinPark

I have issued a formal request/notification to LinkinPark. Please read this to see what I have said. I'm just telling you this so that you know what is going on. I recommend ignoring everything he says, and issuing the appropriate warnings when he violates my terms. Cheers, -- THL 21:43, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will say here that I agree with most of the terms especially the requirement for a source. I do have one problem though because I do not think saying "especially Christianity" was absurd. So The Hybrid, could you define the word "absurd" more rigourously. I am satisified that most of my edits in "Criticism of Pokemon" was not deleted though, although I still felt the need to emphasize the part about Christianity as that section is about Christian's opinions of the Pokémon series. I had a conflict with Brandon about not sourcing that part where I didn't say source my statement about religion not being mentioned in the cartoon, but I do not think that has to be sourced as most of the members of PCP actually agrees that religion was never metioned. I do feel, however, that is the only article one can talk about religion in an article about Pokémon. With the exception of the word "absurd" I agree with the terms.
Regarding the issue of ignoring me, I will disagree with this. I do feel that you should ignore me when I discuss religion in most Pokémon articles, but if I am not doing that, it could have detrimental consequences. I agree with The_Hybrid that the religion things has gone on long enough, ok.
Do we all have an agreement? Let's not engage in anymore vitriolic conduct, ok. LinkinPark 22:56, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the terms now, but could you guys please respond here just to say we are in agreement, cheers. LinkinPark 23:13, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hi raven....

we both realize that there are certain people who provide the momentum to keep the PCP headed in the right direction... and who regularly contribute their ideas, thoughts, and opinions on how things should be done. I count you as one of these people and had noticed that you haven't yet weighed in on a rather controversial proposition. It's the WT:PCP#species uniformity discussion, i would really like your input. Brandon and Yoshi are for it, Highway and CP against it, and Erik has voiced opinions both ways. I've asked for AMIB's thoughts but he has yet to comment, i think he got wrapped up in the merge debate. There are many questions that have been unanswered and i hope you can help me out. Other than your general thoughts, how easy is it to implement? do you feel it makes useful improvements to the page? what is the potential for negative server effects intrinsic to templates? are the {{PokePage}} instructions comprehensive? what should be the balance between less-pretty editing and coming closer to a real encyclopedia? i know you prolly will, but please look at the Eevee evolutions and their histories for a sample of how this may work. -Zappernapper 17:54, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

i think he may be peoccupied with real life, in which case i don't want to hound him. I'll bring the conversation out of the archive so it can be further discussed. on the other hand, he does seem to have returned so i might give him a friendly reminder on his talk page. -Zappernapper 18:34, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
