Files need to be uploaded[edit]

Information icon Hello, SophiaEx. I noticed that your recent edit to Laurence Yep added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. Sam Sailor 19:27, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, SophiaEx. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 02:32, 23 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

July 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Tube of Light. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Fashion Psychology seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tube·of·Light 14:33, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

August 2021[edit]

Information icon

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:SophiaEx, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=SophiaEx|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. SmartSE (talk) 19:00, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello User:Smartse, I have not been commisioned to write this wiki page at all. My publlication was for a school project on how to use New Media. I have been trying to neutralize the language as I admit my style is more of a writter than a fact-stater. I have recieved messages that I need to disclose that I am being paid but I am not at all. How do I disclose that I am not being paid/ is there a need for this? I appreciate your help in advance, as I am new to the Wiki Contributing world. SophiaEx (talk) 13:35, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks. There's no need to do anything else. However, can you explain why this user uploaded all of the images used in the article just a few days after you created it and then you noticed that they had been uploaded and added them to the article only a few days later. Do you know who they are? SmartSE (talk) 16:32, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I wanted to upload the images myself but did not own the copywrite to the images. The images can be found on the website fashionpsychologysuccess.com[1] which is Dawnn Karens website. I sent her an email from the site informing her of my school project and asked her to please upload them so I could use them. She sent me an email thanking me for the publication and letting me know that she had uploaded them so I could use them, but in no way compensated me for it.SophiaEx (talk) 12:47, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dawnn Karen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dawnn Karen. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
