Hello

Hi. Are you a mate of The Rambling Man? Anyway, you're more than welcome. Thanks for your edits to the History of Norwich City F.C. article. Feel free to do more! --Dweller (talk) 11:08, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Pride of Anglia

Yeah, it could do with a minor rephrase and probably citation to prove the individual successes of the clubs. Go for it, be bold!! The Rambling Man (talk) 17:58, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey, have you got a source for the new inductees into the ITFC hall of fame? Cheers! The Rambling Man (talk) 12:44, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi RR, could you provide me with some diffs for where this user was impersonating an admin? Cheers! The Rambling Man (talk) 12:13, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Cool, well I and another user have removed both claims and left notes for the user. Thanks for letting me know. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:41, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for your note. Yeah, you were spot on, I'd messed up when creating the final table from the other lists. It should be fixed now - thanks for letting me know. If you spot any other errors, be sure to get in touch. All the best, The Rambling Man (talk) 06:46, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Vote in an RfA

I see you did a strike-through line in your vote at DHMO's RfA. The vote has since been indented, (removed from the vote) total. Just an FYI. Gwynand | TalkContribs 19:30, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thank you for catching that mistake on my user page.

Re:

Degrassi season 7

Hi, could you return the OC favour and take a look at Degrassi: The Next Generation (season 7) for me? I nominated it at FLC yesterday but have had no comments yet. Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Degrassi: The Next Generation (season 7). Cheers, Matthewedwards (talk contribs  email) 22:19, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Just a quick note to let you know I have carried out the edits to the page in regards to your comments. Regards, Matthewedwards (talk contribs  email) 01:49, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Fair use on OC season 1

Hi RR. Man, the whole fair use thing is a bit of minefield and I know Fasach Nua is dead keen to avoid the mis-use of fair use wherever possible, and rightly so. However, on some occasions it boils down to a little bit of subjectivity. I think the biggest issue is whether the images convey information and are not just purely decorative. The OC poster, whilst being standard fair in episode FLs, doesn't add a great deal of information to the article. The cast image is much more informative (in my opinion - you get to see what the characters you're discussing look like) but goes against the episode style guide. It may be a turning point for the style of these lists but I'd go for the cast image in the infobox and ditch the poster. Times, they are a-changing... The Rambling Man (talk) 16:20, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

No worries. Sometimes Fasach Nua pops by to keep us in check. I think in general fair use images are overused - one day someone may stomp on Wikipedia for breaches of that policy so it's better to err on the side of caution, and, besides, the FLC won't fail for only having one image, so everyone's a winner baby. Orphaned non-free media (Image:The O.C. - Season 1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:The O.C. - Season 1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:18, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
