Navboxes for Provinces of China[edit]

I could really use your opinion on this. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:30, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Philg88, I just listed Rova of Antananarivo at FAC (which you copy-edited) but NikkiMaria is already opposing for "prose issues" that I find minor. Hopefully she will realize this too. But if you do have time to have a look and weigh in I would appreciate your perspective. The FAC is here. Thank you, Lemurbaby (talk) 11:47, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lemurbaby,

Real life commitments prevent me from doing as much work on as I'd like to on the article. I copyedited one section to get rid of the passive voice and some redundancy. If I get time I will try to do some more. Best Regards, ► Philg88 ◄ talk 01:40, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for...[edit]

Could you help peer review two articles?[edit]

您好!我是个新加坡华人!I understand that you are a native speaker of British English who has volunteered to do copyedits at peer reviews. I have written articles about Money No Enough (1998 Singaporean film that sparked the development of the Singaporean film industry) and Xiaxue (highly successful, but also highly controversial, Singaporean celebrity blogger), both of which are potential GAs. Like most Singaporeans, I am not a native speaker of English and need some help to meet the "well written" GA criterion. Could you support the quest to counter systemic bias on Wikipedia by giving constructive comments at Money No Enough's peer review and Xiaxue's peer review (the latter needs reviews more urgently)? 谢谢您!--J.L.W.S. 您好, 我刚刚编辑了"Money No Enough",但是目前我有一点忙IRL, 有空时,我检查其他文章。 ► Philg88 ◄ talk 07:44, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your review of Money No Enough, which has since attained GA status! --J.L.W.S. The Special One (talk) 13:05, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Navboxes for each province in China[edit]

I could use some feedback at User:Anna Frodesiak/Gold sandbox. Cheers. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:00, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, you must have put a lot of work into that, well done! I don't really have any comments as the navboxes look fine as they are. Best ► Philg88 ◄ talk 02:03, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Philg88! I have written an article about Pathlight School (Singaporean special school for autistic children), which could be the first-ever GA pertaining to special education. Like most Singaporeans, I am not a native speaker of English and need some help to meet the "well written" GA criterion. Could you support the quest to counter systemic bias on Wikipedia by giving constructive comments at the article's ongoing peer review? Thank you! 谢谢!Terima kasih! Arigato! --J.L.W.S. The Special One (talk) 13:03, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I did a quick copyedit on the lead as I'm a bit busy IRL and don't have time to do more at the moment. One thing you need to do is to get rid of a lot of the links to common words and topics that are not germane to the article - see WP:OVERLINK for more details. Good luck with the peer review. Old friend, same problems[edit]

Hi Phil:

You remember our old friend "Man Under Starlight" (User:星光下的人)? I've had some issues with him again on a certain article, and upon viewing his talk page learned that he seems to be causing problems left and right. His somewhat combative attitude and poor English skills produce significant difficulties in other editors communicating with him, it seems. I suspect a report to an administrator might need to happen in the near future. Would like to hear your input.  White Whirlwind  咨  03:15, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WW, sure I remember him. In the end I gave up trying to reason with him based on your accurate assessment of his character. If you let me know the specifics I will dip my oar in - although I'm not around WP as often as I used to be due to real life commitments. Best ► Philg88 ◄ talk 22:30, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request for reviewing Bhagat Singh[edit]

Hi Philg88! I came across the article on Bhagat Singh, tried to improve it and subsequently nominated it for WP:GA, and eventually aim for a FA status. However, there seems to be a lot of backlog in the WP:GAN. I saw that you are a native speaker of British English, and shall be grateful if you could review the article, so that it could be brought to the level of a FA. Thanks a lot! castration[edit]

As you have edited both Traditional Chinese law and Zhou dynasty, I request you review the fact that extremely irrelevant weight is being placed on the practice of castration, when #1 chinese law contained hundreds of laws for every offense imaginable, #2 none of the other empires (byzantine, roman, ottoman) which practiced castration have a special section on it in their articles. I have discussed this on the talk pages of the articles but User:Spanglej keeps reverting me.Bunser (talk) 21:37, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but WHO are you and why are you sending me this message? I did not edit or change that article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.124.53.102 (talk) 14:24, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to the December Wikification Drive[edit]

Delivered by MessageDeliveryBot on behalf of WikiProject Wikify at 01:31, 2 December 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Hi Philg88. You had copyedited this article and thus helped it reach GA status. Now, I am planning to take it to FA. The article is more or less the same, but few things are added. Please copyedit again. If you see any issues about any jargon or unclear flow of thoughts, please comment on the talk. Thanks a lot. --Redtigerxyz Talk 08:21, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
