Alta Lift Truck Services, Inc[edit]

Hello, you recently tagged this page for deletion, but I believe it fulfills the requirements for existing on Wikipedia. References are provided for all notable information, and it does not show bias in writing. Please discuss this with me on its talk page. I welcome your criticism and hope to fulfill any and all requirements that may be missing.

Thank you,

Haken Audio[edit]

Just a quick question about the above. You declined my nomination for speedy deletion based on draft into AAA ball. For speedy purposes does that assertion trump the notability guidelines in WP:BASEBALL, which he clearly does not meet? Not making an issue of this, just curious for future reference. Thanks. – ukexpat (talk) 19:18, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Jami Smith wiki[edit]

Hello. The wiki article I recently created for Jami Smith was "speedy deleted" as "blatant advertising."

I actually can understand why it would seem this way, but it is not intended to be. Jami Smith is a legitimate Christian artist and there are several of her peers with wiki articles. I feel strongly that she deserves a presence on wikipedia as much as any of those peers and I am happy to edit the article to remove anything that you feel comes across as "blatant advertising."

Please let me know what can be done to remedy this situation. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jtk95 (talkcontribs) 16:43, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was in the middle of editing this article when it was tagged for speedy deletion by User:RnB. There was no notice, nothing. The article was deleted even while I was adding references. He obviously mistook the legal markup of the agreement as patent nonsense. Can you please restore it?Anwar (talk) 18:41, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Gruntlord6g wrote, "this is a shared computer". I've also tagged Gruntlord6f as possible sockpuppet, although the name only appears in Listusers and not user creation log. Um, what does "this is a shared computer" mean (oh and when the this page rip space time continuum when they put WP:NQS or did they mean WP:NAS)? Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 00:38, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

School or anonymous blocks[edit]

Recently I posted in my organization's public IP user talk that the public IP belongs to a school, and should be school-blocked or anonymous-blocked. I noticed you have reverted a few article blankings and vandalism that have occured from this shared IP, as well as a temporary block, so I thought I would ask you to do this again permanantly.
However, if a block is put on for anonymous edits, is it an option to continue to allow account creation from the IP? --Addrockk (talk) 14:18, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE HELP[edit]

I am concerned that the page "The Sonic Society" was erased without very much help. The Sonic Society has been the number one show through broadcasting in Canada as well as podcasting all around the world to showcase new audio drama around the world. Both Jack Ward and Shannon Hilchie are innovators in audio drama for the 21st century and their company Sonic Cinema Productions have produced original works that have been heard all around the world. There are already examples of modern audio drama additions in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Jack_Justice http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_drama

But precious few. But there are other entries of podiobook authors http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J.C._Hutchins http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tee_Morris http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mur_Lafferty

And even podcasts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escape_Pod

Please help me understand what needs to be done to make this page accepted. Thanks,

"Nice Try"[edit]

I was not intending to create this article as a piece of nonsense. I was attempting to make it as a notable article, and explained it as such in its own right. Furthermore, this was deleted while the hangon tag was on the page. Isn't it procedural to allow me a chance to explain myself before deletion? Diikiw (talk) 23:32, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote: "Wikiid was created partly as a lighthearted challenge to Wikipedia’s notability requirements." I wasn't attempting to evade them at all. I honestly thought that such a referential article would be one that could be arguably notable, and certainly not one nonsensical enough to merit speedy deletion.

And don't worry. I do edit Wikipedia quite a bit. I just do it under my school ip, rather than with a user name: I keep trying to prove that my school isn't entirely vandal-laden. Diikiw (talk) 23:36, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know this is probably annoyingly persistent, but I did at least ATTEMPT to claim validity. Doesn't that mean it needs to be put up to vote? And this wasn't an article about something else that was attempting to become prominent on Wikipedia, it was an article about itself being prominent due to that fact, and being a valuable piece of art besides. If I cited an article from a notable source discussing the value of user-generated content, or a set of articles backing my fact, would the article become possibly valid? I'm asking in all seriousness.

Failing that, could I possibly get the source to the article I wrote back? I'd like to preserve it at least somewhere, in case something else comes up that makes it valid. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Diikiw (talkcontribs) 23:43, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, well. I tried.

And yes. I promise I'll only post it as a subset of my user page. What can I say, maybe I'll be able to write a nifty article about how to make it. Diikiw (talk) 23:53, 7 April 2008 (UTC) Thanks. I won't do that again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Diikiw (talkcontribs) 23:58, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's also been featured in Japan's Elegant Gothic Lolita bible and played Whitby Gothic Weekend of UK.

I feel it is important to mention in the Signing Time! article, but I wanted to go in-depth for anyone who should need the information about it. I would like to include worx in wikipedia, because it was the first real estate consultant firm created in Portugal to provide services in many areas, such as real estate investments, research & valuation, and so on. Hi. I noticed that you recently hardblocked this user leaving a message on it's talkpage that it was used for "vandalism", whearas in your block summary you cited that it had a promotional username. I recently had a discussion on WP:AN with another user who was doing the same thing (hardblocking accounts with promo names) and consensus was that having a promotional username is not the same as "vandalism" and does not merit a hardblock (though a softblock is appropriate). Please do not continue to do this without further dicussion. Thank you :)--Urban Rose 17:50, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think I know what happened. The user is currently asking to be unblocked claiming that his subsequent attempts to create that page were attempts to make it more encyclopedic and it was assumed that he was just reposting the same content.--Urban Rose 18:07, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Confused[edit]

Not sure why you deleted the page I spent a long time creating. It was about an orginization but it was for information reasons. I thought that this site was define things and classify.

Encyclopedia: a book or set of books containing articles on various topics, usually in alphabetical arrangement, covering all branches of knowledge or, less commonly, all aspects of one subject.

I would say what I entered was part of that. It was not an advertisement. It just ticks me off a bit that you would delete something that I spent quite a bit of time on. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joesyuh (talkcontribs) 19:11, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Steak and BJ Day[edit]

Hello, I noticed you deleted my post of Steak and Blowjob Day on April 11th. I think you will see that I have thoroughly researched this topic and my post is considerably different from previous iterations. I have specifically made a number of statements as hidden comments in the post which explain why I think this topic should be included, and why it does not violate the five pillars of Wikipedia. If you can give me a good reason why this post should not be part of wikipedia, please do so. Thank you. John Haughey, "sunseasurf", sunseasurf.blogspot.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunseasurf (talkcontribs) 02:52, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Further review of the wiki-debate about this page in 2005 centered around the idea that it is not encyclopedic, that it is trivial. First of all, the original wiki-debate was misguided as to the actual source of the idea, it was from San Diego, not Boston, and secondly, I would argue that as a physician, sexual mores change quickly. I cite as evidence the trend of rainbow parties and choking parties, which have emerged since 2005. Some oppositions were raised that this is simply a meme, a viral phenomenon, whereas I would argue that in fact we need as a meme based culture, to be aware of cultural trends. Who knows, maybe there is an increase in orally transmitted syphilis around March of every year. The idea of "Steak and Blowjob Day" has existed for ten years, that's a long time, and it doesn't appear to be going away. People need to be directed to accurate information, for example, that oral intercourse can transmit STD's, and I would argue that Wiki should include this post simply as a public service.

Thank you NawlinWiki, I don't see that you have addressed my points and you haven't made any new ones as to why this post should not be included, you simply caved in to the reactionary forces of wikipedia. I would like my post which had like 20 internet references in it moved to deletion review please as per the dispute resolution process and I would like some intelligent arguments put forth against it since it seems a lot has changed since it last went under review.

Here are my arguments for and against-

arguments for: 1. It is historic- we are in the 10th year of Steak and BJ Day 2. It has public health significance- the population (and particularly the teenage population) is at risk from this and other oral intercourse based trends such as rainbow parties. 3. It has been mentioned in college newspapers, more than one radio station on both AM and FM, and in more than one country in more than one language, and thus it is notable. 4. It is controversial in a serious way, thereby making it not trivial, a debate exists about the role it plays in denigrating women. Whereas no such debate exists on such trivial memes as "Talk Like a Pirate Day". 5. There is evidence of commercial exploitation proving that it exists. Steakhouses, t shirts, greeting cards, other forms of real world enterprise. 6. Previous posts have misattributed it to a Boston DJ whereas in fact it was a San Diego DJ. 7. It is mentioned on facebook, yelp, urban dictionary, yahoo answers, youtube, all mainstream social networking sites. thanks, Sunseasurf (talk) 20:01, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arguments against: 1. inclusion would suggest wikipedia recognizes steak and bj day as a real holiday, adding to it's prestige. this argument is like the argument that wikipedia adds to the prestige of rainbow parties or blowjobs since they are on wikipedia already. plus, my presentation is neutral and fact based, I recognize this is a spoof holiday in it's tenth year. 2. it is trivial and not notable. again, I present arguments above which address this, there is evidence that steak and bj day has a real debate around it, which makes it notable in a way that talk like a pirate day could never be, steak and bj day also has evidence of notability with regards to inclusion in the press, worldwide spread, uptake by social networking, evidence of commercial activity, and public health signficance. 3. it is too controversial. when has wikipedia shyed away from controversy? indeed, the objectification of women argument ignores the fact that gay people can celebrate this too, and many gay men probably do. the very controversial nature of this and the fact that the topic has undergone no less than three deletion reviews argues that it is not going to go away. 4. although it technically could have public health significance, there is no evidence that it spreads disease. yes, but the risk is there, and many many teenagers need accurate information about sexual practices.

thank you. Sunseasurf (talk) 20:13, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was brought to our attention that our article may not have any "particular prestige". We believe that by our linking to our offical website, detailing of how our convention is unique beyond other conventions of its nature, and by noting the quite famous guests we have invited including Tiffany Grant, in addition so that the large amount of attendees that are expected to visit who and would like to know general information about the convention that is not found in conventional sources may turn to this page (which we have marked as a stub to be improved upon) both now and into the future. We have put a lot of effort into this page to ensure it met Wikipedia guidelines to the best of our ability, and we, as a group, promise to not be evildoers in placing our convention information on this site. If it is perfectly fine with you, we would like to reinstate our page now. Thank you. -NMAC Staff Nmaclub (talk) 05:33, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Were we to then create the article after the formation of the convention, and having had its first event, be able to submit a stub for the greater Wikipedia community to edit upon it? From what we have gathered, more people than ourselves have an interest in pursuing this convention, so we are not acting alone in finding importance in this event. We understand we are in fact the staff writing the article, but we have in no way oversold or glorified the event.

Thank you for your prompt response. If you so feel that in keeping with these guidelines mentioned that the article is no longer suitable to submit, then the case will remain dead, until others feel that the convention is prominent to write about from their (albeit, unofficial) prospective. We hope to hear from you further. Sorry for the inconvenience. Nmaclub (talk) 05:42, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks! We understand the local press will be doing an interest story.

Gameplasma has been producing unbiased reviews since 2003, it was one of the largest diablo 2 online communities. Red Hot Reiner Peppers[edit]

I'd argue that you speedy deleted the Red Hot Reiner Pepper's page for "lack of notable" in error, one WP:Music criteria is:

Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.

with Jesse Reiner also being in Crime in Choir, making this a notable offshoot experimental band. Please reconsider, and I'll make sure to reference that in the article.

????[edit]

Hey, you speedily deleted my article that I was half-way through writing. I hadn't put in my references yet and finished the biography. Therefore I wasn't able to show the significance. Is there anyway you can undelete so I can finish it?

  • 18:58, 17 April 2008 NawlinWiki (Talk | contribs) deleted "The matt damon band" ‎ (A7 (bio): Real person; doesn't indicate importance/significance)
  • If you read their myspace, The Matt Damon Band on Myspace, they aren't just another nothing band. I don't have any major references on hand I can reference besides MySpace and PureVolume but I just sat there and wrote all that and it'd be a waste otherwise, so lemme get some stuff that's significant.

Why did you revert the IP edits? I thought the website he/she added was actually pretty informative. Did it fail reliability standards? Tool2Die4 (talk) 19:35, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to ask you to reconsider your deletion of the soft redirect at Automagically. Soft redirects are a regular mechanism on the project for directing people to content that belongs on sister projects. By their very nature they do not have much content of their own, and IMHO subjecting them to A3 speedy deletion invalidates the whole concept of soft redirects. - TexasAndroid (talk) 16:33, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I track most of the soft redirects on the project to catch exactly this situation, and regularly revert a handful of exactly such definitions off of them every day. :) - TexasAndroid (talk) 16:39, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FreeLance (film) article deletion[edit]

NawlinWiki - While I do not dispute you have the right to delete pages that are not, in your opinion, properly cited for notability, I would have preferred to have had some measure of contact or input or warning from you before the article I took the time to create was deleted. I appreciate your interest and enthusiasm in maintaining Wikipedia. I use Wikipedia often to research things which interest me and have no desire to see Wikipedia filled with articles of no importance.

FreeLance is an indpendent film I was involved in. The film is listed on IMDB and I provided links to its IMDB page, the film's official website, and an article about the creation of the film. If there is further criteria for notability, I am more than happy to provide it and am am open to suggestions. The article was my first attempt at contributing to Wikipedia. I did read the page on citing notability and I believe I made an honest effort to do so. I am open to any suggestions you have at this time. I hope that you notice I am not making any attempt to sell this film, only to document its existence. Many other low-budget, independent films are listed in Wikipedia.

I certainly understand your position on this matter. I welcome any input you have to offer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KingPellinore (talkcontribs) 17:28, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing out my mistake. I posted the wrong article referencing the film. Here is the article I meant to post: http://shortendmagazine.com/content/view/93/67/

Also, FreeLance was featured at 2 Film Festivals last year.

The Rome International Film Festival http://riff.withoutabox.com/festivals/event_item.php?id=8327

And the Atlanta Underground Film Festival http://www.auff.org FreeLance did receive the Best Local Feature award from the AUFF, as noted on their website.

Please let me know if this provides better criteria for notability. KingPellinore (talk) 19:13, 18 April 2008 (UTC)KingPellinore[reply]

Note: Upon reviewing your criteria for deletion under A7, which states "A7 applies only to articles about web content or articles on people and organizations themselves, not articles on their books, albums, software and so on." I am a little confused, since FreeLance (film) is a film, which is a body of work, just like a book or an album. Can you clarify for me how A7 pertains to the article for FreeLance (film)?

OK, so if I rewrite the plot section, can I re-post the article? I have to disagree with your suggestion that the Atlanta Underground Film Festival's lack of a Wikipedia article is proof of its unnotability.

Thank you for your interest and input, NawlinsWiki. I will cobble together a re-write of the plot and other information. If you still see fit to tag the article for deletion, I welcome any discussion that will result. KingPellinore (talk) 15:09, 21 April 2008 (UTC)KingPellinore[reply]

HELP[edit]

Dear NawlinWiki-

Please do not tag my submission, 'The Baan Dek Montessori' for speedy deletion. The article entry is not a irrelevant and not a public advertisement and therefore should not be subject to speedy deletion. The Baan Dek Montessori became the first accredited Montessori school in the history of the state of South Dakota, as verified by The Association Montessori International. This is of extreme historical importance for those in the state of South Dakota and the entire midwest. If the way it was written warrants deletion in your estimations, how can we rephrase to accommodate your criteria. Thanks. for instance, how does it defer from this entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Montessori_School

ThumMusic System article deletion[edit]

You rightly deleted my first version of this article. However, the subsequent version was also deleted. I beleive that this subsequent version met Wikipedia's criteria for neutral tone and avoidance of COI. Can you please indicate which specific sections of that article violated these (or other) standards? I would be happy to revise them further as necessary.

Thanks!  :-)

Arch Soc-cer - notability[edit]

Hi. My page was deleted as a club/society for lack of notability. Fair enough, it probably was, but I had only just started making it, I'd only done the infobox. I might have had lots of notable sources, but not had time to link them.

My question: Is there a way I can build a page over time (eg a couple of weeks) without it going live? I just want the chance to do a full page before its deleted out of hand.

Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Owen spencer (talkcontribs) 14:46, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

deletion of Shoshtakovich`s Nightmare[edit]

You deleted an article which I was in the very process of editing. I can see from your page that you have some history of doing this. I think that you might at least give people the opportunity to complete their articles and include any references pertinent to the notability of the subjects under consideration before you decide to delete them. I believe that the subject of the article in question certainly does have relevance and conforms to the guidelines that musicians need to have been broadcast on TV to merit notability, as the band in question certainly has. I had the full intention of including these details. I am pretty certain that you are not in any real position to judge whether my article was notable or not unless you are an expert on Maltese music. Or is this just some sort of snobbery on your part towards the music of a small country? Are you going to delete the article on the Music of Malta thread next? How big does a nation have to be for you to not delete an article about its music?

If you don`t know much about the area in question, is it realy too much to ask that you allow people to finish their entries before you ruch in to delete them? Seeing that I will have to contend to this sort of over-zealous officiousness from users like you, I am not sure if I can be bothered to start the article all over again. Kont Dracula (talk) 12:01, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As I very clearly pointed out above, it is not reasonable for you to delete articles for not including relevant sources while they are still in the process of being written. As you yourself noted, my article ws long and I am not sure if I can be bothered to write it again. Judging from the posts on your page, your sole purpose on this site seems to be to delete other people`s work while it is still being written without any actual knowledge of the subject areas concerned. Charlie Ryan[edit]

I note that your own article about some nobody called Charlie Ryan does not satisfy the condition of including references as it only contains one link - to Charlie Ryan`s own homepage! So a link to someone`s homepage is what you consider to be an "independent", "verifiable" source? Wait though, there is another link - to a non-existent obituary! I see that you feel that verfication and notability do not need to apply to your own articles - just to other people`s articles that you delete while they are still being written, without even seeking the courtesy of some clarification. Kont Dracula (talk) 17:02, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Working Man's Barnstar
For NawlinWiki, who works away tirelessly at the thankless task of new page patrol, deleting endless piles of steaming crap and dealing gracefully with the creators of that crap above and beyond the call of duty. Just wanted you to know it doesn't go unnoticed. Accounting4Taste:talk 17:14, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some give-away hypocrisy from you there, Accounting4Taste. On you own page, you say: "If you're here to discuss a page, it would be appreciated if you would be specific about the name of the page, if possible providing a link to it"

So other people should provide links to what they find objectionable in your articles but for you, it is sufficient to dismiss the creators of "the crap above"? Not very "specific" of you. I find it alarming how quickly the Stasi-like officiousness of wikipedia censors can degenerate into shit-slinging. All I wanted to do was write some articles about the Maltese music scene. Malta is a country which has a longer recorded history than America does. It has its own language, its own culture and its own music scene. I had an article about it deleted while I was actually in the act of writing it. I had more references than the person who deleted it had references in one of his own entries. He had none. But he deleted my entry. Explain that to me within the wikipedia guidelines without using the word "crap" please. If you can.

I notice that, while you are very happy to dismiss the "crap" of other entries, you will not even address the issues pertaining to the section that you are commenting in. A friendly slap on the back, regardless of the "facts" kind of thing, yeah? Keep the people from the little countries down, yeah? If you think you will bully me around then I am afraid you will find yourself greatly mistaken.

Talk page guidelines[edit]

NawlinWiki, I must remind you that "The prime values of the talk page are communication, courtesy and consideration." You must understand that if you are going to make sly digs at me on other people`s talk pages without addressing the issues I have raised on neither my or your talk pages, it is not conducive to communication, courtesy or communication. Please conform to the guidelines that you yourself claim to adhere to and enforce so religiously. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kont Dracula (talkcontribs) 04:15, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please, not the salt!!! I would really like to make this work, and will take the recommended COI guidelines very seriously for any future Octopus IP entries.

Alright, Do you think the following entry would work?

Octopus IP Communications, also referred to as Octopus or Octopusip (oc·to·pu·sip), is a commercial voice over IP (VoIP) network and SIP company that provides telephone and IP Communications services over high speed Internet sources.

Octopus supports private branch exchange (PBX) and IP communication features, through a hosted IP-PBX software which operates without the use of on site hardware.

In order to use Octopus services, customers must purchase a compatible IP phone or softphone console, and connect this to their Internet through a main router or broadband modem. Users can also connect to services through software consoles that are compatible with SIP, making their IP Communications features available for use through a desktop or laptop computer. For a reliable connection to service, an upload speed of at least 85 Kbps is required for each simultaneous phone call.

It doesn't need a HANGON tag because it's not supposed to be even considered for deletion because it isn't COMPLETE. Read all about "underconstruction" here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Underconstruction

Please note, it says: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Underconstruction

"This template page or section is in the middle of an expansion or major revamping, and is not yet ready for use.

However, you are welcome to assist in its construction by editing it as well. Please view the edit history should you wish to contact the person who placed this template. If this article has not been edited in several days please remove this template. Consider not tagging with a deletion tag unless the page hasn't been edited in several days. While actively editing, consider adding to reduce edit conflicts.

No offense but I am very, very frustrated. It appears you have a problem with deleting articles when it is not appropriate to. Please erase your comment on my talk page because it's just plain WRONG. It needed no HANGON tag because it was not being disputed. I never put a HANGON tag on it.

Please REVERT the wrongful deletions you made cause now when I try to restart the page it mentions that this is an article that has been deleted twice. It was never a complete article and it never had a hangon tag. Your comment of "Hangon tag or not, you still need to at least assert that this business is notable per WP:CORP. You can't just say, as you did, "this is X gym in Y city", add a tag, and expect the article to be kept. NawlinWiki (talk) 04:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)" is completely ERRONEOUS. It would be really helpful if you could get back to me with how I can resubmit the article without getting flagged for deletion. Thank you.

Nawlin,

I do not understand why the page Share Proudly was deleted. Although, it is a page about the website it talked about a unique feature that outlines the field of social entrepreneurship. The map helps people see all the companies, centers and foundations that are in this field. This is very important information for people who are interested in starting socially responsible businesses.

Hi Nawlin, Thank you for reviewing the page and helping it become more Wiki-friendly. I have taken a bit more out that is now untrue (they don't buy low end fabrics from china as it is now from LA) and added very little. I am hoping that this is now again Wiki-Friendly.

Please let me know. Thanks, Cmt marketing (talk) 18:15, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nawlin, Sorry I am new at this as you might have thought. I work for CMT who owns Urban Behavior, I have been instructed by management to edit the page as the information is either date or false. Is there somewhere or someone I can get help me change my edited page to a Wiki-friendly entry without going back to the original page? As you can see I am stuggling and am in need of help to get this page up.

I don't want it to promote or advertise the company, but rather it be a true reflection of what the company is. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Thanks, Cmt marketing (talk) 16:07, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I am trying to edit the page of Urban Behavior and I did have an inapproprite link to their facebook group, which I have removed none of the rest of the article is advertising or inapproriate in anyway... Can you please review again as it has been reverted back to the original which carries very false information about the company. please let me know if there is anything I am doing wrong.

Thanks, Cmt marketing (talk) 15:41, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I noticed you deleted a page that had been created in the past for 'Marcus Lush'. Marcus Lush is a prominent New Zealand radio and television personality. Why was the page deleted?

Thanks Ifthestraitjacketfits (talk) 23:33, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear NawlinWiki-

Please do not tag my submission, 'The Baan Dek Montessori' for speedy deletion. The article entry is not a irrelevant and not a public advertisement. The Baan Dek Montessori became the first accredited Montessori school in the history of the state of South Dakota, as verified by The Association Montessori International. This is of extreme importance for those concerned.

NawlinWiki - Please do not tag my 'Ronald Bongo' page for speedy deletion. This article is in the public's interest as this notorious boiler-room mastermind was responsible for defrauding thousands of investors out of their life savings. The article is fully referenced (including Press Releases from the PA Securities Commission and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission), factual and balanced. Mr. Bongo has gone to great lengths to conceal his felonious past including hiring Wikipedia members to deface, vandalise and otherwise delete articles from Wikipedia and other web sites that reveal his felonious past. Please read the article and note the referenced sources and refrain from further tagging this article again for deletion.

Thank-you

Dear NawlinWiki- Can you not delete my article on Alexander Shypula, he is relevant, and is a very important conrributor to the Far Hills Country Day School Community, I drove 5 hours to interview every teacher at his school, and he is indeed one of the most important students to the school. Horror Metal[edit]

Hi. Could you please review your deletion of Horror Metal. It does not seem to meet the A3 criteria and the rest of the reasoning given in the deletion summary does not seem to fall under any part of CSD. Cheers TigerShark (talk) 22:21, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ban me[edit]

I've been trying to get this ip address banned for awhile now, but everybody just gives me warnings. It's the address for the computers at our school, and if the talk page is any indication, it should've been banned a long time ago. Please, please, PLEASE just ban it already. Wikipedia would be better off without it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.199.177.93 (talk) 15:06, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding my merge[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with the page Linux on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:06, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

I got that message, I do not know If you are actually a bot. However you were correct when you assumed I was new to Wikipedia, I looked at the Linux page, and realized that it was about some OS called Linux, there is in fact no OS called Linux, and there has never been one, there is however a kernel called Linux. So my merge was 100% undeniably correct. If however you would like some enlightenment on this matter, feel free to contact http://www.kernel.org/ mailing list.

Thanks for the feedback[edit]

Yes, thank you for your links, I must explain, I do not which to merge GNU toghter with Linux, There should be one for GNU and one for Linux (because they are not dependent on one another, even tho they can work togheter), however there is no OS called Linux, only a kernel. The Linux page explains that Linux is an OS, which is in fact untrue, I does in fact tell people straight out that Linux is an OS, so it actually lies to people, imagen someone hearing something about "Linux", come to seek answers about it, and find that wikipedia says that it is a OS, when it really is not. Wikipedia should be a source for knowledge right? This is in fact not helping those in the quest for it, it is most likely to confuse them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.136.0.41 (talk) 16:51, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense[edit]

Nonsense would imply it was unreadable, wasn't clear or had no bearing to reality, I hardly see how being more specific about the _NORTH_ American Beavers name is nonsense. Thanks for the hasty but useless revert.

Keep up the good work, Hez —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.66.128.233 (talk) 17:13, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Need help please![edit]

This is my first time... I was trying to add a page for my roller derby league (similar to Santa Cruz Rollergirls and soon to be part of WFTDA. I'm trying to add references and stuff (also saving along the way) but I obviously went about it the wrong way (soooo sorry). I'm trying to add this under a sports category. Again... so sorry. --Lindsay elle (talk) 23:27, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blatant advertising?[edit]

I got this deletion message but I was actually trying to add the info for a division of our company that is already on Wikipedia but in red due to missing information. Am I not allowed to do that? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bensuss (talkcontribs) 23:46, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I got this deletion message, but I am truly confused because there are companies like Coupa, Edgecast, Salesforce.com on Wikipedia. I along with several people I know try to understand the space and then see what companies are in that space and that is why I had added links in Spend Management because there were no companies listed and they are so in other categories. I also added a page for FusionOps because it is also an upcoming company in Spend Management space. I am genuinely confused so any guideline would be helpful. Lottery League2008[edit]

Wanted to see how the Lottery League 2008, a one-off musical festival based in Cleveland, Ohio, could pass master.

It was speedily deleted twice, even though we've had external sources regarding the event. For instance: http://www.clevescene.com/2008-03-26/news/re-making-the-band

I understand that issues of significance and notability came up. As this was an event that attracted people from throughout Northeast Ohio, received press coverage, and will also be officially finished with a national DVD/CD release, I'd like to find out how significance issues could be alleviated.

Thanks for your time.

Protecting my user page[edit]

Not the first time it's happened ... all today's edits were from socks of User:Seancarlin84, who has never forgiven me for declining his last unblock and protecting his user talk page afterwards in January (he had a previous history of belligerence). Daniel Case (talk) 05:41, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
