Updating James[edit]

Great Day,

Thank you for you feedback. I the personal assistant to D TRAIN and was making edits to Wikipedia page, as some information is dated and/or inaccurate. Such as his name is legally D TRAIN (birth certificate and drivers license, ect.)

Proof can be provided.

Could you please pinpoint the phrases and words used that violates Wikipedia standards? I cannot find it, even with the link you shared.

Thank you, Veastone Veastone (talk) 01:02, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Per MOS:ALLCAPS we avoid writing names in all capitals when it only serves as a stylistic function. If he has changed his name, then you should familiarise yourself with MOS:CHANGEDNAME, however do not add or change anything without citing reliable sources, avoid using Facebook, Twitter etc. The sources currently in the article would suggest that D-Train is still his stage name not his real name. Moreover, these websites [1], [2] do not show the capitalisation you have made.
As for information being out of date/inaccurate, your probably right. Most of the information in the article was copied from the group article in 2014. Most of the article was poorly sourced and written in a promotional tone at the time. Over the past few years I've attempted to improve the article but it is far from perfect. The issue is that there are very few news sources and/or books that provide significant information about him.
Something else to avoid is boasting that your his personal assistant. Per WP:COI you should not edit Wikipedia pages that are about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships. Any external relationship can trigger a conflict of interest. Before editing any further I recommended that you read through the guidelines I have linked. If you continue to make the same changes to the article without providing sources, then it may be viewed as disruptive editing.
Hope this helps. Indoreli (talk) 08:03, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please use commas both before and after the year in the American date format[edit]

Please use commas both before and after the year in the American date format when you add a date in the American date format as you did here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lord_of_Souls&direction=next&oldid=779398535 Commas are always required both before and after the year in the American date format no matter what. Nicholas0 (talk) 16:22, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Nicholas0 Why have you mentioned this? That revision is from nearly 7 years ago when I was a new user. If it was recent I could understand, but seems pointless to bring it up now. Indoreli (talk) 11:20, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Because you still hadn't corrected it seven years later, which means that you will continue to make the same mistake unless someone mentions it. I don't know how many times you have made this mistake so I had to mention it to you so that you would take responsibility for going back through your old edits and correcting this mistake where you have made it. That is your responsibility. Nicholas0 (talk) 16:15, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like a very minor mistake to point out though. That article gets hardly any views, hence why no ones noticed it sooner. I'm not saying your wrong to correct it, but do you not think it better to just correct it without a fuss, as has been mentioned to you. You can't expect every editor to be 100%, and if that's what your trying to achieve, you're fighting a loosing battle. Indoreli (talk) 13:38, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
