Re:Annular cyclone[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your insightful comment regarding annular typhoons and hurricanes. Typically annular storms become stable in terms of intensity despite remaining over marginal conditions, and Nida's upwelling of cooler water likely influenced this bit. However, Nida maintained not only its intensity but also its position for a long period, allowing it to affect the atmospheric flow and oceanic temperatures over a much larger area (I made a suggestion in 2009 that it was actually influencing the El Nino, which eventually became a Central Pacific Modoki-type that often supports Atlantic tropical cyclone activity via the Western Hemisphere Warm Pool; another Modoki ENSO seems to be forming this year). Wikipedia has plenty of information on Atlantic annular storms, but it is possible that the dynamics of West Pacific storms are not as well understood. There were definitely some major jet stream effects down the line after Super Typhoon Nida stalled in that area - what is it that makes the Northern Marianas region so favourable for annular storms to occur? Cheers,

A cheeseburger for you! [2][edit]

Hello, thanks for the star you bestowed upon me. I wish I could meet you someday.

Let me clarify on my edits, with all due respect: a) I am only into photography, and I don't desire to expand articles; b) however, Wikipedia rules vis-a-vis good articles, must have proportional number of images to the number of paragraphs with links; c) as you notice, I never complained nor revert any edits of my images inserted, since I state that Wikipedia is a continuous edit thing; I have no monopoly of my edit or the article; in face best articles are edited by more that 1,000 edits by editors; d) here in Philippines, it is so stressful to expand articles just to put in my images in proportion, as you duly noted; d) but most of the times, the server and internet here are so slow; e) rest assured that if pc gets fast and I would have no stressful times, I will try to expand the articles that I inserted the images. As pattern I desire to emulate Valenzuela, Philippines or any other better Philippine town article. I greatly appreciate your creating categories for my images. As you notice, I only put 1 category, since, the computer is so slow and if the images fail to upload, I would need about 5 hours just for 7 images. Finally, I desire to finish Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Aurora, inter alia. I deeply understand that many images are bad for a short paragraph or sentence of an article. But, but and but, for example, a town must have at least 4 images of a heritage town hall, 4 or 5 for a church, and at least 1 for the major points like heritage schools, banks, etc. Cheers.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 07:22, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Meteorological history of Hurricane Sandy[edit]

It wasn't vandalism, it's honestly cluttered if you keep the images arranged like you have it. I suggest, if you keep the images, moving them around the article seeing were they would fit best, because at the moment it looks like a mess. Supportstorm (talk) 05:11, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well at least remove Sandy_Oct_29_17.35(UTC).jpg because it is pushing the Dissipation section to far down the page, move the Sandy_Oct_30_2012.jpg image to the right, and move Sandy_as_a_tropical_disturbance_Oct_20_2012.jpg to the left. This would allow equal image ratio to the article as with my example. Supportstorm (talk) 05:38, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you examine the bell tower images. I had a great fear of the heights, I climbed the bellfry tower, and when I looked down, amid the almost destroyed wooden stairs, I got so afraid, but the images are priceless, for if you examine the links I put there, the scholars never attempted to climb the bell tower to shoot the bells, made in 1891. I touched them for thee. Be there 1 inch apart, even if you're in Hong Kong. Betis Church, this article, is a story of painting, the one of a kind furniture wood carving and simply amazing. December 2012[edit]

Your recent editing history at Typhoon Bopha (2012) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Both of you have violated 3RR, and you need to stop edit warring. Take it to the talk page. Inks.LWC (talk) 04:26, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Inks.LWC (talk) 04:53, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help please, review my 2nd article[edit]

Hi, Earth 100, I was awed by this River, it is simply magic. So, I created my 2nd article Tapuacan River. If you have time, please go over it and review or revise per the Rules. Thanks and cheers.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 14:20, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't review articles, but i can double check them, and contribute them for you. --✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 14:13, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Earth 100, for your time and edits. The river is so beautiful, I have never seen any, in my life, like this. Cheers.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 14:35, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Nice photos, but i've seen Crystal clear, blue waters in a stream in Lantau island, Hong Kong, clearer than the ones i saw in your photos, and were almost free of brown algae. --✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 11:27, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What's wrong..?[edit]

I believe you must be confused. I didnt revert any of your edits. I reverted Objectivesea's edits, restoring your version of the article as on 18:15, 6 December 2012. However, if there is anything else that might have hurt your feelings, please let me know. --Anirudh Emani (talk) 14:46, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

I created this article, Ma-Cho Temple, even if I am a Catholic. You may be interested in going over this Taoist Temple thing. Cheers.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 15:50, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for editing my article. The temple is so magnifiscent since 1975. Imagine, it resisted the July 1990 earthquake that devastated many of our Catholic Churches. The Taipei laborers built this Ma-Cho Temple. I am sure if you examine the pictures, even if I just used the All Weather Nikon (for it is handy, and I cannot use high end Nikon, for water photography is my main image obsession), this will be a respite from our stress-laden situations. I hope that your day like mine is not made harder by editing Wikipedia. We are here to improve it and not to be tired. Look at my pictures and yours, they will make us less tired of problems. Cheers and thanks again. Cathedral of St. William the Hermit, our Church is full of mess, the electric wires, the dirty surroundings, I just captured the clean ones. Cheers again.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 13:41, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Typhoon Bopha[edit]

You said, "Also Nasa states it at the "Typhoon Bopha Brings Heavy Rains to the Philippines" section." What does it state in that section? Inks.LWC (talk) 14:13, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Last sentence of paragraph 2. In reality, the whole convection around the storm dissipated, but i only sate it with source.--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 14:15, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How could something written on December 4 apply to something that you claim happened on December 5? And the last sentence says that banding decreased on the eastern, not southeastern side of the storm. But now that you've pointed that out, I can fix the article. Inks.LWC (talk) 14:19, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Inks.LWC, mind if you add more information of what you have adjusted, like the intensity for a specific date, thank you.--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 15:26, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand what you're asking for. Inks.LWC (talk) 05:55, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No... the sentence doesn't make sense. You're missing a word or used a wrong word(s), or something. I don't understand what it is that you're asking. Inks.LWC (talk) 12:41, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

NPA warning[edit]

Calling another good faith edit vandalism, as you did here, is a direct violation of WP:NPA.

You're lining up an awful lot of final warnings for violating all sorts of different WP policies. Why not take a break? Step back, review some of our policies, stop fighting with other editors...maybe you're just too caught up in trying to "win" right now? I don't know. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:23, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Evan[edit]

Evan really does not need another image, especially one that at the moment can not be proved to be Evan with text products.Jason Rees (talk) 11:27, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is Evan and besides the meteorological history needs an image to show a image of the storm one day before it's dissipation.--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 11:34, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No the meteorological history does not need to "show a image of the storm one day before it's dissipation" since we can not even prove that the remnants existed during December 26 at the moment using text products since TCWC Wellington dropped it from their warnings during December 25.Jason Rees (talk) 11:55, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox[edit]

Could you either please substantially rephrase or request deletion of User:Earth100/UBX/Japan Dislike? It directly violates the WP:USERBOX guideline, in that all userboxes must still be civil, specifically, "Userboxes must not be inflammatory or divisive." I don't think there's any way that someone would consider that box to be appropriate. The Yushin Maru userbox is on the borderline, but probably okay because it's about a ship, not about a nation full of people. Please note that if you do not choose to remove/alter the userbox in the next very short while, I will be requesting its deletion. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:58, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User:Earth100/UBX/Japan Dislike, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Earth100/UBX/Japan Dislike and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Earth100/UBX/Japan Dislike during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Inks.LWC (talk) 15:28, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser[edit]

A Checkuser, User:DeltaQuad has run a CU on the two accounts in question, Earth100 and Earth101. Unsurprisingly, the IPs don't match, but we didn't expect they would since Earth101 clearly said they were using a proxy IP in their unblock request. Separate CU action on that IP is likely. The Checkuser declined to overturn and instructed that behavior should be used to make a determination. This was expected. Based on the available information, including statements since the block, I maintain that it is very likely the two accounts are the same person, thus I would decline to change my block. Of course, any admin is free to review and make their own determination, contact the CU or myself if they want more information, and/or act without my permission. Earth100 should follow the guidance found in the Guide to appealing blocks if they wish to appeal this block. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 01:02, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there anyway of being able to figure out if the IP address is Meows or not since Earth100 is alleging up above that Meow is the one who opened the account.Jason Rees (talk) 01:11, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Earth100 would have to talk to the CU, and present enough evidence to justify running the checkuser process, or start an SPI investigation and supply the diffs there. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 01:15, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For some micro-behavioral (linguistic/typographical) reasons, I actually don't think that Earth100 and Earth101 are the same user. I can reveal them to a CU privately, but I don't want to post them here since I don't want to help the likely Joe jobber. I'll email Dennis Brown with the details as a start. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:29, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You very much Qwyrxian, for your different, alternative view point on me, as i am a good man, and will never do extremely bad acts.--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 04:58, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Look everybody, i accept my 3 day block as i really did violated a law,

but a block for a week? To me i fink something fishy is going on, as i have totally no idea of anything of the Earth101 account. I understand, and deserve the 3 day block, but i'm honest that there's noting to do with me of the Earth101 account, and i hope there is a prove for it. I've got things to do but now i got to wait a whole week.--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 04:55, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've talked to Dennis Brown off-wiki. One thing we agree on is that it's actually very hard to make a determination either way, since the Earth101 account made very few edits so there's not much behavioral evidence to go on, and, as already explained above, the technical evidence doesn't help. Dennis Brown still thinks the two accounts are likely operated by the same person, but also offered to let me reduce the block if I was more confident of the difference. Since to me the evidence if ambiguous, I'm willing to assume that the account was legitimately not yours. I'm going to reduce your block to approximately the original three days (plus or minus a few hours in case I don't get my math right). Note that none of this changes the fact that your behavior must change upon your return regarding the reasons that I originally blocked you. If you do find yourself getting frustrated by another user, either walk away from Wikipedia until you feel better, or ask an experienced user (including me, if you like) for help. In addition, please do make sure that you've fully digested how serious we are about [{WP:V|verifiabilty]] and [{WP:OR|original research]]. Specifically in your case, that means that you can't put in any information based upon what you can figure out from reading a satellite photo, based on your extensive knowledge of how storm systems develop, etc. If you want to add something, find a source that says precisely the information that you want to add. Again, ask for help if you're not certain, or if you think something is safe to add but aren't sure, try proposing it on the article talk page first. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:19, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thank you very much Qwyrxian! I will listen to all the advice i am given.--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 09:27, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • To verify, what Qwyrxian says is completely correct. As he is more familiar with the style of the editor, I trust his judgement here. I would also encourage you to take his advice to heart. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 13:55, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[6] - hey, I just wanted to let you know I reverted your edit for a few reasons. First, the image didn't really fit in the article due to spacing. Secondly, we can't source forums, so if you want to add that JTWC bit, you have to get a proper source. And third, I wasn't exactly sure what you were going for in the image caption, but "Severe Subtropical" doesn't make sense, sorry. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:09, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, how come you reverted? The article looks bad with that image in there. Is it really needed? --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:16, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, it is needed, it looks Beautiful as it is good.--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 04:20, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I removed the Storm2k bit again. Per WP:SPS, we can't include forums. As for the image, I don't think it's needed, but it's not worth warring over. You just came back from a ban, and you said you understood what you did... the addition of unreferenced/improperly sourced material has to stop. I'd encourage you to read WP:RS so you completely understand what's required. Inks.LWC (talk) 07:42, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

First, welcome back. I hope you've had time to think about your actions in the past and now understand the policies of Wikipedia. I have High-pressure area on my watchlist, so I noticed when you made this edit. You cannot continue to add information that is not in the source. Nowhere in the article does it mention anything about such a formation being "rare" or "unusual". Furthermore, instead of just reverting people, discuss changes like that on the talk page. It seems like you still may have questions with what the policies are on original research, so if you post on the talk page with what you want to change the text to, other editors can comment on those changes before you impliment them, and we can help you understand if your proposed edits adhere to the policies and guidelines. Furthermore, as I encouraged you before, I hope that you consider getting a mentor. Inks.LWC (talk) 01:21, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain why I shouldn't indefinitely block you, Earth100, and get this over with. You were blocked for quite a while, your block was extended, you begged to come back, swearing you were better and had changed...and within a day your back to uncivil edit summaries and adding unsourced info. Qwyrxian (talk) 04:34, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe it, being blocked forever for contributing Wikipedia? I waited and waited but i wasn't unblocked until that day, and i decided because i wasn't unblocked i don't need to change. If you want me to change, then i will do it right now. And if i ever get blocked again, i would not allow it to be more than 1 week, because there is no difference, only more down side. --✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 04:50, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay.--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 05:15, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. At least for me, consider this a final chance. Let me leave you with two simple pieces of advice: if something makes you at all irritated, take a break away from Wikipedia and calm down before you comment, revert, or otherwise do something that will be a problem. Second, if you have questions, just ask someone. In many cases, at least for now, it's probably in your best interest to ask before you act. Except for absolutely blatant vandalism like "This hurricane makes me hot!", there's really no harm in letting an edit you disagree with sit around for a few hours/days while you discuss the matter. You don't have to be this cautious forever, but for now, I think it will help you. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:44, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Castle in the Sky image[edit]

You cannot have the Castle in the Sky image on your user page.
