Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Hello, I'm sure it is an educational and informative link, it's just that Wikipedia generally appreciates content rather than links elsewhere, and I suppose I was concerned that you might simply be plugging your website, rather than assisting the project. I have found in the past that external links added to verify content on pages in the form of inline references are the most helpful and because your site is in the form of an audio-visual podcast, there's no easy way to verify their usefulness without watching each one. None of the links to your site have been removed, however, I just thought it was best to inform you of our external link policy. Thanks. Bob talk 09:38, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Art history. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. freshacconci talktalk 06:41, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

June 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Walden School (New York City) ‎ appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you.
