DYK nomination

Hello. I just wanted to notify you that I've moved your WP:DYK nomination of Westchester Tornado of July 2006 to the November 26 section, as I noticed in the history while reviewing the article that it was created on that date rather than the 30th. Also, I have verified it, so it should be featured on the Main Page in several days. – RyanCross (talk) 02:38, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Good Article Nom

Hello, I was wondering if you reviewed other articles outside of Meteorology for Good Article nominations. If so, when you have a chance, could you take a look at Stephens City, Virginia? Thanks...NeutralHomerTalk • December 1, 2008 @ 02:42

I can work on the "open" tonight, that's no problem. The references, on the other hand, might be a bit of a problem. The person that contributed the main history section didn't have inline references like we normally do, and to be honest, I am not sure where they go. That, I can try to find out tomorrow when I have a little more time to read on it and maybe piece together where things go (when my brain is working :)). Thanks ahead of time. Take Care...NeutralHomerTalk • December 1, 2008 @ 03:07
Hey Again, I rewrote the opening section adding in some more information. I did take a look at the "Further Reading" section and found out where a couple of those went. There are still a few left. Those, to be honest, I haven't the slighest clue where the go. That will probably be the nom's downfall, but it is worth a shot. Take Care...NeutralHomerTalk • December 1, 2008 @ 03:54

I think all of the changes you requested were made, and if there are any other lingering issues that may not have been covered in the initial review, please let me know. Thegreatdr (talk) 21:28, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Rollback

Hey Cyclonebiskit. I've approved your request for rollback at WP:PERM. Remember that rollback is a powerful tool, and should be used only to revert blatant vandalism. If you abuse the tool, any admin has the right to remove it promptly. Cheers! –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:56, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

The article I think, did not need that much so I slight changed it on the EPac article, can you look at it, it rotates the amount of indent , first 1 then 2 3 4 and back to 1.--Irmela08 23:38, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Largest Atlantic hurricanes template

The main source was NASA, but there finding the hurricane diameter of the 10 largest took a lot of time and effort. I went through different sources, sorting things out and eventually after a long (very long) process, I got diameter sizes. I put two sources to the template, isn't that sufficient? Some templates have absolutely no references or any kind of source for their lists, yet they are sprawled across many hurricane articles. I think it was unjustified to just outright take the list off of the pages since I actually have two sources and plus all the days of intense research I put into finding it all out and putting it together. Hello. Regarding your note about the name change, I'm sorry I didn't get through all the tornado redirects in one day, especially this one because of the FAC, but I hope to finish each within 24 hours as I am working on them systematically. I noted that you did the FAC follow-up before I could; here's wishing you well on it. Cheers, --Rosiestep (talk) 17:02, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

When you make changes like this, you need to add the source and update the prose of the article. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:09, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: Typhoon Dolphin

Ah! OK! I didn't know that. Then, is the JTWC somewhat wrong? The JTWC states Dolphin has formed from a shearline area, the same kind of formation of the Tropical Storm Edouard (2008). I'm a bit confuse now. -Ramisses (talk) 18:23, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Well, I don't know what to do. Here is the JTWC source. I think the best way is to leave it as it is. -Ramisses (talk) 18:37, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Here's a special Christmas package for you! Happy Holidays!
IMO, snow vitally enhances the authenticity of Christmas.

Hi! Dylan620 here to wish you Happy Holidays! Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, Valentine's Day; they all make winter great. But Christmas is the best of them all. Singing to Christmas carols, inhaling eggnog, seeing your relatives, and best of all, gifts, whether giving or receiving them. Since this has been sent to you, you are apparently a Wikipedian. Why not improve Christmas articles related to topics you enjoy? After all, building an encyclopedia is what Wikipedia is all about, and for Christmas, my theory is trying to improve Christmas-related articles. Anyway, Merry Christmas!!! Take a look at some gifts that I got you:

And what else to go with cookies than...

Merry Christmas, Cyclonebiskit! You, too, can spread the love and joy of the Holidays by placing {{User:Dylan620/Christmas}} on the talk pages of your friends!

BTW

Just thought you might want to know, although given how far south you are, this may not affect you as much but Issued by The National Weather Service New York City, NY 5:35 pm EST, Tue., Dec. 16, 2008

A BAND OF LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL BE MOVING ACROSS THE AREA DURING THE RUSH HOUR COMMUTE AND INTO THIS EVENING. TEMPERATURES ARE CURRENTLY IN THE LOWER TO MID 30S... AND ARE EXPECTED TO FALL A FEW DEGREES DURING THIS TIME. THIS MAY CAUSE SOME ROADS TO BECOME SLIPPERY. UP TO A HALF INCH TO AN INCH OF SNOW ACCUMULATION WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THIS TIME. ADDITIONALLY... THE VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED IN ANY HEAVIER BUSTS OF SNOWFALL. ANYONE TRAVELING THIS EVENING SHOULD PREPARE FOR POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. --Irmela 23:17, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: Omar best track

Are those 6-hour points? It might not be very smooth if there are intermediate ones in there.

I was going to ask Thegreatdr about those before I do anything with them. We just need to know a little more about the source or its reliability. The ones he put on the talk page are in hurdat format, which is convenient since it can go right into the track map program. Potapych (talk) 22:11, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Tito has just copyedited the lead. (I hate to say it, but when I thought I was improving the lead, I think I may have been making it worse. See this for evidence.) Would you call it A-equivalent now? --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 17:46, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: Track map program query

Hi Cyclonebiskit! Unfortunately I can't help you. I don't have the Jdorje's track map generator program. I make track maps manually. I also have been trying to figure out how to download it and get it up and running but I also can't figure out how to do it all. I know Potapych has one. I wish you a Happy New Year. -Ramisses (talk) 14:08, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

I have put Hector of 2006 up for merging, can you see what you think about it? (It is a copy and paste) --क्षेम्य Tranquility 20:38, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
