Princess Omowunmi Agunbiade moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Princess Omowunmi Agunbiade, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. PRAXIDICAE🌈 14:38, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Already removing non verifiable information because I couldn't really find citations from independent sources. I appreciate your reviews and would do more research for citations and references Caramel2155 (talk) 15:21, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon

Hello Caramel2155. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Caramel2155. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Caramel2155|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. PRAXIDICAE🌈 17:02, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am not related to the subject, nor have been paid by the subject, I have no personal interest in the subject as I am aware of Wikipedia rules and terms of use. I am not in contact with a client or employer.
The information edited were a result of poorly sourced information from blog posts, such third party sources are not verifiable, hence can not be put on Wikipedia Caramel2155 (talk) 17:12, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Great then you can explain how this and this are your own work. PRAXIDICAE🌈 17:14, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am not familiar with uploading on Wikimedia for content that is not my own work hence this, and this, if it is nominated for speedy deletion for copyright infringements, that's ok Caramel2155 (talk) 17:27, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So why should we trust when you say that you have no affiliation with the subject but can't even be truthful about what is and is not your own work? PRAXIDICAE🌈 17:28, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was writing my first article to get corrections, I have other articles I would also like to write about notable Nigerians from TV shows, is it possible that one person can be contracted by everyone?
I searched on YouTube on how to upload a picture on Wikimedia and tried different times and they got deleted.
I am not in contact with an employer and wish to have articles of different events from Nigeria on Wikipedia, article writing is only a hobby and not a job, Wikipedia is a free tool for research and not for personal or financial gains ng is only a hobby and not a job, Wikipedia is a free tool for research and not for personal or financial gains. From your response yesterday, you advised that information without references be removed hence they were removed from the article Caramel2155 (talk) 17:14, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Princess Omowunmi Agunbiade, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Athaenara, User:Praxidicae, this user is a CU match with User:Rexchuqa. I think this should be added to the SPI, with a request for a Checkuser (one who has more time than I have right now), because there's a a bunch of IPs on a couple of ranges with proxy blocks, and really those ranges need to be checked. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 17:19, 10 August 2022 (UTC) Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Stanleytux[reply]

@Drmies: I guess you mean Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Stanleytux. I know virtually nothing about how checkusers do what they do, sorry to be useless in this regard. – Athaenara 17:29, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I do agree that it's good that this user is blocked, that page s/he wrote was absolutely outrageous advertising, what's MER-C call those things, spamvertisements? Advertisements masquerading as articles. – Athaenara 17:32, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
WP:ADMASQ PRAXIDICAE🌈 17:42, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that's the one. – Athaenara 17:48, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No one has pointed out the advertisement on the article yet I'm being blocked from editing for allegations of sockpuppeting with someone with same Ip as mine Caramel2155 (talk) 18:06, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • If it has to be explained to you that your articles on the Princess and the funny guy are promotional, then we probably can't explain it to you and you shouldn't be editing here. As for the socking--well. Drmies (talk) 19:56, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • What exactly was promotional? Is it the way and manner it was written or the references?? I really don't understand Caramel2155 (talk) 20:14, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      • I can't believe I'm actually explaining this, or part of it. First of all, "promotional writing" is about the WRITING, so yes that "the way and manner it was written", and part of that is the HUGE size of the image. I don't remember what the references look like and I am not going to check, but anytime you have an article on a beauty queen and the image is four times the size of the entirety of the text, that's promotional. And you made like forty or fifty edits to the article. Here's the thing: if three or four experienced editors tell you something is promotional, maybe you should just accept it and read other articles and learn what encyclopedic articles are. We can't teach you everything. Unless you pay us, maybe. I can't speak for Athaenara but I could use a side hustle. Drmies (talk) 20:24, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate this, about the image, I had no idea about applicable dimensions for Wikipedia, is making so much edits a bad thing? May I be given a chance to write another article? Caramel2155 (talk) 22:12, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

About the IP range and the sockpuppeting and block, the major network providers in Nigeria are Mtn, Airtel and Glo and the IP range of Mtn has been blocked indefinitely I think, IP range of Airtel is blocked until 28th August or so and the only available IP range for editing is from the mobile broadband provider, Glo. What I'm trying to say is, maybe I share same provider with the said account I'm alleged to be sockpuppet of because it's the only network provider or IP available to Nigeria. Editing and publishing Wikipedia articles is pretty tough with the blocks on network providers. Caramel2155 (talk) 22:19, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The format I used in writing on the subject was gotten for another Wikipedia article, Kim Oprah , if the article is subject to unambiguous advertising, the above mentioned article should be checked. I created and edited the article in contrast to an already existing article. Caramel2155 (talk) 22:21, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Caramel2155: You may not realize it, but the activities of editors like you are giving Nigerians the reputation on Wikipedia that they had all over the world from the Nigerian prince scam. – Athaenara 01:49, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, that page you offered for comparison is nothing like what you wrote. – Athaenara 01:50, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

When you say "editors like me", what exactly do you mean? Are you categorizing me under Conflict of interest or as an editor who ignorantly made errors? Caramel2155 (talk) 05:29, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I mean users who think Wikipedia policies and guidelines shouldn't apply to their editing. – Athaenara 07:20, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm see nothing wrong with having my article deleted, I have learnt some lessons from it too. I'm only appealing for the block right now. Without an argument I don't think I'd have learnt anything Caramel2155 (talk) 08:52, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
