Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Thank you very much for your comment. Initially a paragraph named “LA Supervisors Controversy” was added to the article by a user Dallavid (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Dallavid) in September 2022. As you can see, the user is supportive of Armenian issues and as I understand he was even sanctioned for edit warring on Azerbaijan-Armenia clashes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Armenia-Azerbaijan_3/Proposed_decision). This clearly shows the user is biased towards Armenia and Armenians. Moreover the paragraph the user introduced lacks any evidence, can be considered defamatory and was inserted into the article in order to create a false impression that Nasimi Aghayev “forged” a proclamation from Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. However a press release by ANCA, the largest Armenian advocacy organization in the US, shows that the LA County Protocol Office confirmed the authenticity of the proclamation and the Supervisors withdrew their signatures from the proclamation only after a massive pressure campaign by ANCA. Please see this press release by ANCA: https://ancawr.org/press-release/los-angeles-county-supervisors-rescind-signatures-from-scroll-honoring-consul-general-of-azerbaijan/
Unfortunately, none of these solid facts are mentioned in Dallavid’s paragraph which only intends to defame Nasimi Aghayev. This obviously violates Wikipedia rules. Any attempts to rectify this false and defamatory paragraph have been thwarted by anonymous users with IP addresses in Yerevan, Armenia.
Therefore due to the false and defamatory nature of the paragraph, I suggest this paragraph to be deleted for good.
Many thanks. Brunnhilde Böhm (talk) 21:50, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
