We can add a column for tie. I think we should remove colors from main list. It hides the sorting keys. What are your thoughts on that?--Vyom25 (talk) 17:51, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

In my opinion, colors must be kept on the page as it is a very detailed list. Colors help in distinguishing data easily and also make the page look good. As far as sorting is concerned, I don't think its required. And a column of tie on the main list or on the concise one? Please clarify. BPositive (talk) 11:09, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

A column for tie is for the Captain's list (because Kapil Dev is the only captain with a tied test) and according to Featured List Criteria table must sort properly and sort key must also be visible. Currently it is not due to colors. Its already clear what stats relates to what discipline and coloring is pointless for visually impaired person.--Vyom25 (talk) 13:43, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.

As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.

Participation in INCOTM

I see this month there is not a lot of participation in INCOTM so far. May be Hisham will do a multitude of edits at the end! Any plans to boost activity?

One suggestion that I can give (may not be applicable this month, but in the coming months), try to choose articles where the scope of improvement is there, and improvement can be done easily. Gateway of India can be a romantic choice, but can not be really expanded much unless someone has a good book on it. Most edits are done based on web articles. In case of Dance of India, participation was much higher as there was large scope of expansion, and also web sources available proved to be good.

However, in case of Tripura, there are good amount of web resources (listed on the talk page), and huge scope of improvement. Perhaps lack of interest is playing some role. I hope there will be much more activity towards the end of the month :)--Dwaipayan (talk) 13:43, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

I agree that there is very less activity this month. But the good point is that we are getting some new editors. The articles are selected by the editors and it's sad that the ones who vote don't edit the article. However, the main focus as of now is to get new editors and increase the participation.

As far as Gateway of India is concerned, there is some scope for improvement. Same goes for Tripura. I'm working on getting new editors right now. A bit busy with assignments and tests. Thanks for your concern :) BPositive (talk) 13:52, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Yes, the article can be improved a lot more - its quite prominent and lots of refs are available, which is why I voted for it (not nominated).
