Signature[edit]

Your signature needs changing as it does not direct to your user page. Please add a space between "Alborz" and "Fallah" in your signature in order to avoid confusion, as it initially looks like a vandal account, which it is obviously not.--الأهواز | Hamid | Ahwaz 11:59, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Beylegan[edit]

Hi. That was an interesting info you added to Beylagan. Could you please provide better description of the source? i.e. Musa Khareni = Moses of Chorene? What was the title of the book, etc. Thanks. --Grandmaster 04:47, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ! Thank you for interest! Sorry for answering here, I'm new in Wiki and I'm not sure where the regular place for writing the answers is. But I get the info from here: etymology of the name Baku

"موسی خورینی در کتاب جغرافیای خود در گفتگو از پایداقاران (بیلقان) که شهری در آران بوده و در آن زمان باکو از اطراف آن بحساب می‌‌آمده، نام آنجا را باگوان می‌‌نویسد""when Moses of Chorene in his book(Geography)«Treatise on Geography ?»,talks about the Paydagharen(Beylagan), which was a town in Arran, and in that time Baku was a part of that place , names the Baku as Baguwan "

  • We also have a small town near Theran with this name !

Commercial use of Image:195307 orig.jpg[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:195307 orig.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:195307 orig.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:195307 orig.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 10:04, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom remark[edit]

Dear Alborz, just a quick note on your ArbCom evidence note [2]:

  • "I think reviewing his previous statements [3] about calling my country " abysmal" can help to understand the atmosphere"

If you carefully check my wording, I said "It seems like source from the country with abysmal human rights record is somehow more credible than from HRW or AI". I never called the country as abysmal, but rather its human rights' record. It would not make sense for me to call an entire country as abysmal. Atabek 12:03, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the update. Regarding your concerns with ArbCom, I think you should discuss your concerns with Dacy69, and perhaps look into resolving disagreements. I just noticed your recent edit [4]. That image was removed from Wikipedia for the lack of copyright, so attempts to upload it elsewhere and present again here are not quite encyclopedic. That textbook cover describes lands on which Azerbaijani people have historically resided, and actually Lake Sevan was historically known prior to 1920s with its Turkic name "Göyçe Gölü" (Lake Gokcha in English-language publications) and had Azerbaijani states (Qaraqoyunlu in particular) as well as Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1918 on its eastern shore. This is not making territorial claims on anyone, note that the flag of Azerbaijan Republic appears only over the piece that is currently territory of the republic only. After all take a look at the map of Iran on Safavid dynasty page and map of greater Armenia on several pages, do these also imply territorial claims? Atabek 12:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Alborz, in regards to your comment:
  • "There exists a point of view in Azerbaijani community (mostly north of Arass and to a lesser extent in Iran itself) that accuses Iran not to support Azerbaijan in Azeri-Armenian war as it was supposed".
I don't think Iran is supposed to support or not support someone, that's a choice made by the state on political bases and certainly people may have various justified and unjustified opinions about it. One thing for sure, this [5] insertion of unrelated and unsubstantiated map on the Atropatene page has clearly anti-Azerbaijani (regardless of the side of Araxes) intentions. Atabek 20:46, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Azeri_Cartoon_Persian_speaking_cockroach_.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:40, 2 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 00:40, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The above named arbitration case in which you were named as a party has closed. The remedy is as follows: The remedies of revert limitations (formerly revert parole), including the limitation of 1 revert per week, civility supervision (formerly civility parole) and supervised editing (formerly probation) that were put in place at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan shall apply to any editor who edits articles which relate to Armenia-Azerbaijan and related ethnic conflicts in an aggressive point of view manner marked by incivility. Before any penalty is applied, a warning placed on the editor's user talk page by an administrator shall serve as notice to the user that these remedies apply to them.

You may view the full case decisions here.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ajîleh Moshkel Goshâ, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://en.baztab.com/content/?cid=1282. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Ajîleh Moshkel Goshâ[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ajîleh Moshkel Goshâ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. West Azarbaijan Province[edit]

Thank you for your edits to the Demographics section of the West Azarbaijan Province article. Unfortunately, after a long debate, a consensus was reached that no edits would be made to the Demographics section unless they were discussed and agreed to before hand. This is to prevent the edit wars that previously raged in this article. You may read the debate in the archived talk pages. As a result of that consensus, your edits, which may be entirely justified, have been undone. If you wish to pursue these edits, please post them and your sources on the talk page. Thanks. --Bejnar (talk) 00:32, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:500_RIS.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:500_RIS.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:09, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Iranian Termeh.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Iranian Termeh.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 08:08, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Vincennes shot.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Vincennes shot.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Vincennes shot.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. regarding this change[edit]

Non free images need to have a separate detailed fair use rationale for each use. Each rationale needs to state the name of the article the image is used in. You may want to read WP:NFCC and WP:RAT for more information.--Rockfang (talk) 16:21, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
