You have been blocked from editing for a period of 6 months for block evasion. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  User:Ymblanter (talk) 19:52, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I just found out I was blocked because I used the exact same reference that somebody else used?! I copied it verbatim from the Spanish wikipedia, is that not allowed? It is a legitimate source, so there should be no limits on how many times it can be used on different pages.

Decline reason:

You must return to your account to request unblock. 331dot (talk) 20:40, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

What do you mean by return? This is the account that I edited from and was blocked from editing.2600:1700:20:1D80:68E0:803D:494B:216D (talk) 21:14, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This is not an account. Yamla (talk) 23:37, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Ymblanter: why are you doing this? You also blocked some other editor who supported my proposal? Is this how you deal with discussion? I was only doing what was recommended by @Anarchyte:, I created request for comment and should not be punished like this.--2600:1700:20:1D80:68E0:803D:494B:216D (talk) 21:18, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't an account, this is an IP address. IP addresses are not accounts. The claim in the block log is that you are evading a block on an account. 331dot (talk) 22:42, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: but I am not. I also have no idea who this other editor is, who seems to have been similarly accused. We have no relationship whatsoever.--2600:1700:20:1D80:68E0:803D:494B:216D (talk) 23:11, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was blocked apparently because I used the same exact reference that somebody else had used before me. I copied the reference from the Spanish wikipedia, there was no intention of impersonating someone. I am told that I should "return" to my account because I am evading it but that is just not true. They also blocked this other editor for the same reason, like we are somehow related, but we have no relationship at all! This is a mistake. I am not this other IP editor or anyone else. 2600:1700:20:1D80:68E0:803D:494B:216D (talk) 03:34, 28 November 2022 (UTC) [reply]

Decline reason:

But how would we know that? Especially on an IP range. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:42, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
