Quick tip for new editors: If you're unsure how to change your sources/references/citations from looking bare like this: [1] to a more polished version like this: [2] these are 2 simple and easy options that'll work most of the time:

1: The Cite button on the VisualEditor can quickly and automatically process references, as well as allow one to manually process them, and even re-use existing references instead of creating duplicate references that can clutter up articles.

2: The external ReFill tool site can automatically scan a page, allowing one to easily fill bare references, merge duplicate sources, and expand existing references. Like the VisualEditor however, it may not work all the time, and one should always review the changes before publishing.

If you're unsure or reluctant about processing references, the Wiki Sandbox and (for logged in users) your own Personal Sandbox allow for non-disruptive experimenting. Once your source is processed and to your liking, you can easily copy and paste it to wherever you wish.
