1. Winners of PGA Championship or U.S. Open prior to 1970 or in the last 10 calendar years (Beginning in 1998, this is a five-year exemption.)

Koepka extended his exemption to 2023. Thomas extended his exemption to 2023, in which season he would fall to cat 10. Johnson extended his to 2023. Rose extended his to 2023; he would fall to cat 6 in 2019 and cat 8 in 2022. Day extended his to 2023, and would fall to cat 10 in 2022. McIlroy extended his to 2022, in which season he would fall to cat 10.

2. Winners of the THE PLAYERS Championship in the last 10 calendar years. (Beginning In 1998, this is a five-year exemption.)

Webb Simpson was promoted to this category after his win earned an exemption through 2023. Woods moved to cat 5 in 2019 with an exemption through 2021.

3. Winners of the Masters Tournament in the last 10 calendar years. (Beginning in 1998, this is a five-year exemption.)

Danny Willett declined membership. Patrick Reed was promoted to this category after his win earned an exemption through 2023. Watson extended his exemption to 2023; he would fall to cat 6 in 2020 and cat 10 in 2023.

4. Winners of the British Open in the last 10 calendar years (1990-present). (Beginning In 1998, this is a five-year exemption.)

Francesco Molinari was promoted to this category after his win earned an exemption through 2023. Mickelson earned an exemption through 2021 and would move to cat 6 in 2019.

6. Winners of World Golf Championship events, beginning in 1999 (a three-year exemption)

Lowry finished in the 126–150 range and fell to conditional status for 2019.

7. Winners of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Memorial Tournament in the last three seasons and the current season, beginning with the 2015 winners

Bryson DeChambeau was promoted to this category after his win and earned an exemption through 2021; he subsequently extended this to 2023 and would fall to cat 10 in 2022.

Lingmerth finished in the 126–150 range and fell to conditional status for 2019. Every finished outside the top 150 and fell to past champion status.

8. The winner of the FedEx Cup in each of the last five calendar years

Horschel extended his exemption to 2020, in which season he would fall to cat 10.

Not including Francesco Molinari, who was afterwards promoted to cat 4, eighteen players moved into this category during the season. Kizzire earned an exemption through 2021 with two wins.

Herman received a major medical extension, and Chalmers and Kaufman minors. Baddeley and McDowell finished in the 126–150 range and fell to conditional status in 2019. Malnati, Gómez, and Hurley finished outside the top 150; Malnati and Gómez made it through the Finals, while Hurley fell to past champion status (and has not regained better status since).

Clark and Van Pelt played no events and were granted re-uses. Goosen finished outside the top 150 and fell to past champion status for good in 2019.

Van Aswegen, Campbell, Garrigus, Glover, Fathauer, Stricker, and Martin finished in the 126–150 range. Stricker used a top 25 career money exemption. Glover and Martin received minor medical extensions; Glover also made it through the Finals. Van Aswegen, Campbell, Garrigus, and Fathauer settled for conditional status in 2019.

Haas, Henry, Flores, Barber, Bozzelli, Streb, DeLaet, Villegas, Hoffmann, Ogilvy, Donald, Hagy, and Noh finished outside the top 150. Bozzelli, DeLaet, Villegas, Hoffmann, Donald, Hagy, and Noh received major medical extensions, and Haas a minor. Streb made it through the Finals; Henry used the newly-created 300 cuts made exemption. Ogilvy fell to past champion status in 2019 and has not regained better status. Flores and Barber became non-members and have not reached the PGA Tour since.

Lee Westwood declined membership.

Pieters and Fisher finished outside the top 150 and became non-members in 2019; neither has made it back to the PGA Tour since.

21. Major Medical Extension

Palmer met his terms in January. Beljan's extension expired in February, and Estes and Couch's in July; all three fell to past champion status and have not earned better status since. Loupe and Peterson became non-members when their extensions expired in April and July, respectively, and have not regained membership since. Stadler, Senden, Bae, Jacobson, Curran, Baird, Knost, Marino, and Frazar received carry-overs; Bae also made it through the Finals.

Michael Thompson was promoted to this category in April after meeting his terms; he finished in the 126–150 range and made it through the Finals.

Those who finished in the 126–150 range were Piller, Conners, Lovelady, Silverman, Gooch, Lindheim, Stefani, and McCarthy. Silverman, Lindheim, Stefani, and McCarthy made it through the Finals. Piller, Conners, Lovelady, and Gooch settled for conditional status.

Jones, Schenk, Jäger, Zhang, Griffin, Lashley, Randolph, Tracy, Stegmaier, Oppenheim, Byrd, Wheatcroft, Díaz, Shindler, Tringale, Atkins, Dou, Yun, Thompson, and Collins finished outside the top 150. Collins received a major medical extension, and Lashley and Randolph minors. Jones, Schenk, Jäger, Díaz, and Tringale made it through the Finals. Byrd fell to past champion status in 2019 and has not earned better status since. The other 11 became non-members; Tracy, Stegmaier, Wheatcroft, Shindler, Atkins, Dou, Yun, and Thompson have not reached the PGA Tour since.

Davis's extension expired in November and he fell to past champion status; he has not regained better status since. Bertsch used his last start at the regular-season finale; he became a non-member and has not reached the PGA Tour since. Blanks, Claxton, Williams, Sucher, and Berganio received carry-overs.

MacKenzie and Thompson were both upgraded from the minor medical category in November. Thompson met his terms in April, finished in the 126–150 range, and made it through the Finals. MacKenzie received a carry-over.

Crane fell to the conditional category after his extension expired in October; he finished in the 126–150 and maintained conditional status in 2019. Harrington fell to past champion status after his extension expired in May; he finished outside the top 150 and used a top 50 career money exemption for 2019. Johnston played two events and did not receive a carry-over; he became a non-member in 2019 and has not regained membership.

Two players finished in the top 125. Hearn and Wagner finished in the 126–150 range and remained in this category in 2019. The remaining players all finished outside the top 150. Owen received a medical extension. Barnes fell to past champion status in 2019 and has not regained better status since. Blair, Summerhays, Percy, Kjeldsen, and Lamb became non-members for 2019; Summerhays, Kjeldsen, and Lamb have never regained membership.

Ben Crane fell to this category after his medical extension expired in October; he finished in the 126–150 and maintained conditional status in 2019.

Niemann and Aphibarnrat accepted membership for 2019. Aphibarnrat accepted STM in March, and Niemann and Fitzpatrick in May.

Burns finished in the top 25 of the Web.com Tour regular-season money list. Frittelli was successful in the Finals; Oda, Suri, Meyer, Paisley, Kataoka, and Seiffert were not.

Other notes

Thirty-two players not listed made it from the Web.com Tour to the PGA Tour for 2019 (including Japan Golf Tour winner Lee Kyoung-hoon; 24 via the regular-season money list, 8 via the Finals).
