Probably by Botticelli (1445-1510)

Be brave and courageous, for adversity is the proving ground of virtue.

We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are.

I have always loved art. I collect art and like to write about art. I have a degree in art history from Scripps College in Claremont, California, and was a Florence Fellow in the MA program at Syracuse University in New York. I lived abroad two years in Florence, Italy for the purpose of academic study, and after graduate school, had an M.A. internship in the Department of Drawings of the J. Paul Getty Museum. Since then I've worked at a number of contemporary art galleries in Los Angeles. I enjoy following the West Coast art scene and occasionally edit visual and performing arts related topics in Wikipedia.
