I originally posted this here, but felt it was a little long to remain there.

  • I sit at my desk with my PC in the background, and every 5 minutes have a compulsion to open Opera (tabbed browser, too) and check my watchlist,
  • I leave my Wikipedia account logged in, because I know I'll be back soon,
  • I just edited an entry above me and corrected the spelling. Twice.
  • I created a dummy userbox on my userpage about how addictive Wikipedia is,
  • I created other dummy userboxes (or is that userboxen?) on my user page,
  • I repeatedly send links to people I'm talking to on MSN when they've told me a 100 times not to,
  • I use the reload page function in Opera to automatically reload recent changes every 5 seconds,
  • I've sent {{subst:npa}} tags to friends in emails and instant messages when they swear at me,
  • I try to edit every web page I come across,
  • I have a business to run, but have ignored calls for most of the week,
  • I've actually forgotten most HTML I used to know- it's been replaced with <nowiki>,
  • Instead of shaking hands with someone, I've considered finding their talk page and adding {{subst:welc}},
  • I've altered marketing material to Wikipedia's policies (NPOV, citation of facts etc), but then, after failing to revert it, have had to remove it in order to actually make money in the rare times I get work done,
  • I added ---- below for the next user,
  • I've considered buying a handheld console/phone just so I can use Wikipedia,
  • I'm already considering a review by peers for this "article",
  • I have 7 Wikipedia tabs open in Opera,
  • I've encouraged others to join up to Wikipedia, just so I can judge their edits and review our friendship.
