Originally from Phoenix, I moved to San Francisco five years ago. I've worked in medical research at UCSF for the anesthesia and psychiatry departments. I've also worked as a freelance writer and editor for the past six years specializing in international travel. I love to write about travel, history, anthropology, home and garden, education, and health. I have a BA in Anthropology from University of Arizona (Go Cats!) and a MA from Florida Atlantic University. I love to travel, cook, and spend time outdoors.
