Increment in scale rows[edit]

 – * Pppery * it has begun... 19:56, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The default increment in a scale row is a fifth of the range, which can look wierd sometimes. How about a suitable multiple of 10^n or 2*10^n? Kanguole 10:11, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

row-from does not work[edit]

Does not row-from work? I tried making a timeline, but it didn't seem to have any affect. -- Frap (talk) 16:03, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Negative numbers[edit]

 – * Pppery * it has begun... 19:56, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It would be nice if the template produced correct typographic minuses (−) instead of hyphens (-) for negative numbers. It seems that changing

local negativeFmt = getNotNilValue(args['axis-negativeFmt'], '-%s')

to

local negativeFmt = getNotNilValue(args['axis-negativeFmt'], '−%s')

should do that, but I have not looked closely at the code to understand all cases. @Jayarathina: could you please check and modify it properly? — Mikhail Ryazanov (talk) 09:46, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, That should do it. I have changed it as per your recommendation. --Jayarathina (talk) 04:08, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline in other languages?[edit]

I noticed Simple Horizontal timeline does not work in Portuguese-language Wikipedia pages. Is there a way to work around this limitation, or does it need an administrative implementation before we can use it in other languages? Arqpalazzo (talk) 13:13, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Pages moved. (closed by non-admin page mover) Jerm (talk) 15:39, 10 February 2020 (UTC) UPDATE: After moving "Module:Horizontal timeline", a massive script error occurred. I've self-reverted the move for the "Module" page which resolved the issue. The move for the module page might have to be performed @WIKIDATA. Overall, I was only able to move the template. – Match name with template; remove excessive capitalization. * Pppery * it has begun... 19:58, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Sure, it's a slightly better name. ‑‑Trialpears (talk) 12:30, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Support: Remove extra capitalisation to maintain uniformity as in other existing templates. The Ultimate Let's Talk 08:34, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jerm: I've gone ahead and successfully moved the module; the problem was that you didn't update the template to call the module by its new name. * Pppery * it has begun... 20:06, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Something has impacted this template[edit]

G'day Izno. The usage of this template, in all the places it is used, is showing some errors in the published live versions. Specifically, some text is aligning left unnecessarily. For example look at the two timelines above. Some borders on the left have also been impacted, again visible in the above timelines. I tagged you since you made the last edit in the concerned timeframe, however I wouldn't be able to say if that was the cause. FacetsOfNonStickPans (talk) 08:55, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Should be fixed. Izno (talk) 09:01, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
