Template:Figure skating world records/doc

This template is an easier alternative to list a skater's highest scores or highest historical scores on figure skater biographies. It satisfies the latest accessibility criteria for data tables and can be used to list highest scores by competition segment (short program, free skating, and the combined total) at senior or junior level. Currently, a maximum of 15 world record scores can be added per table. If you find a skater with more than 15 records, notice any bugs or have suggestions for additional parameters, please share them on the template's talk page.

Annotations and parameters

• List world record scores chronologically from first to last, following WP:SALORDER.
• Date: Use the format Mon DD, YYYY (example: Mar 3, 2024).
• Score: Use numbers with two decimal places.
• Segment: For singles and pairs, select between "Short program", "Free skating", and "Combined total". For ice dance, select between "Rhythm dance" ("Short dance", "Compulsory dance", "Original dance"), "Free dance", and "Combined total".
• For records at junior level, add "(J)" after the competition segment in parentheses (example: Short program (J) ).
• Event: Use the parameter |eventx= and follow the advices for the naming conventions of figure skating competitions.
  Example 1: [[2024 World Figure Skating Championships|2024 World Championships]] renders as 2024 World Championships.
  Example 2: [[2023–24 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final|2023–24 Grand Prix Final]] renders as 2023–24 Grand Prix Final.
• Same event for multiple records: Use the parameter |spanx=. See example below.
• Referencing: Use the parameter |ref= to add a bundled inline citation for the full table, usually the official ISU progression of highest scores tables. Avoid placing inline citations in single table cells.
