This website only states information regarding her being 1) Born in Mashhad 2) Having an Afghan father and Iranian mother.

Nothing about an ethnic Persian origin. That added category is therefore WP:OR. - LouisAragon (talk) 00:24, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

She is Persian[edit]

Her bio:

Her father is a Persian-speaking from Herat and her mother is a Persian-speaking from Mashhad. Her native language is Persian. Don't remove the Persian people category. His ethnicity is Persian and nationality is Iranian-Afghan. --188.158.114.126 (talk) 00:25, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Then why dont you add that instead of WP:WARing? As long as its WP:RS everything is fine. You're warring through edit summaries based on assumptions (as nothing in the article attains to your statements as of this very moment.) We cant assume things as facts based upon our beliefs. - LouisAragon (talk) 00:27, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Louis, there is no reason to remove the category. Because Persian-speaking people usually don't use "Persian" as their identity. Just Iranian. Jooya is Persian. What's your problem with that?--188.158.114.126 (talk) 00:34, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Theres no reference added that proves that shes Persian, thats the thing. We cant add that what we believe is true, we can only add material thats verifiable. Statements such as "look at the Persian Wiki" is unfortunately not sourcing, nor is your link (which doesnt say anything about any Persian ethnicity). You cant add material based upon your thoughts and assumptions, especially if people contest it. Furthermore, you've been violating WP:3RR as well (not needed for just a category). She's born in Iran and is half Iranian; thats as far as we can verify the content of this article, and thats what we can base our added categories on. "Persian people" will thus have to be deleted. Lastly, if you know that Iranians dont use the term "Persian" as ethnicity, then why do you even insist on using this baseless category anyway? Whats the point? Bests - LouisAragon (talk) 00:39, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Because all Persian-speaking people = Persian. Nationality does not matter. It's a fact. Historians classify all Persian-speaking from different regions as Persian. Rumi was Persian (from Afghanistan or Tajikistan), Hafez was Persian (from Iran/Persia), Rudaki was Persian (from Tajikistan), Nizami was Persian (from Azerbaijan). Do you deny these facts? Give me 48 hours to find additional sources. If I don't find them, then remove that category. Agree?--188.158.114.126 (talk) 00:49, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. - LouisAragon (talk) 01:13, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
