CH-53[edit]

User:Gavbadger why do you say "aviation manufacturers should be shown"? As I said when I reverted your edit, that information can be found by clicking the wikilink. This page (and all the other Vietnam War base pages that you have changed) is about the base, it doesn't need details of the manufacturers and names of the aircraft that crashed there. 9 April 1969[edit]

As The Master Guns (talk) 05:27, 30 March 2020 (UTC) mentioned and User:Mztourist deleted and the Command Chronology confirms (thank you for fixing the link), the helicopter went down while attempting to lift something, possibly a water buffalo, from the LSA, not the ammo dump. In fact, the explosions did continue for a long while, the ammo dump suffered very little damage. So a blog like talk from an eye witness is not valued?[reply]

Wikipedia requires WP:RS, eyewitness accounts are not RS and bloglike comments do not belong on an article Talk Page. See the top of this page which sets out the rules for comments which includes : "This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Vandegrift Combat Base article. This is not a forum for general discussion of the article's subject." Mztourist (talk) 06:23, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
