"Because of its winding nature and limited width, the road only carries traffic one way - from Sorrento to Amalfi. To return to Sorrento it is necessary to take an inland route." - Doesn't appear to be true as of April 2007. Paul_012 (talk) 05:22, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"This is true for turistic buses, not for normal cars. It still is so. What concerns me is that the road wasn't originally built by Romans, but it was ended in 1860 by Bourbons. Before of that date, the only land roads available were footpaths. I will do some research about it, posted that my hometown is Amalfi."
