New page review[edit]

Given that this page has been looked at by multiple new page reviewers that appear to have gone back and forth on whether to approve the article, so I think it's appropriate to leave a comment. I marked the article as reviewed after coming very close to sending it to WP:AFD. Sourcing doesn't appear to be available on the internet, and I'm a bit concerned by the amount of blogspam I came across that appeared to be heavily promoting An Explosive Chess Opening Repertoire for Black, this article's sole source, specifically in relation to the Rat Defense. However, there is a fair amount of search results on Google Books, albeit not ones that have previews or which I can readily pull up myself. It is possible that these are mere mentions, possibly giving "Rat Defense" as an alternative name for a few other openings. What ultimately tipped me over to accepting the article is the sheer amount of forum board discussion of the defense. While such sourcing is not reliable in itself, it is evidence that there is extensive discussion of the topic. Based on what I know about chess culture and chess books, I think it is highly likely that there is offline material in RS that does include sufficient coverage to meet WP:GNG. signed, Rosguill talk 21:41, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
