PFLP was always recognised as a terrorist organizations - [1] : all factions and divisions of it, separatists and so on, were made clear by U.S they're still terrorist organizations in their eyes unless they renounce the violence option, which they didn't. anyway, even if you don't accept that (they were on lists, but assume they're weren't) since the people forming this fanction previously were in PFLP themselves, the former category stands anyway for this organization which rooted itself from a designated terrorist organization.Amoruso 17:52, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The logic of guilt by association does not function. Either you provide a source that says that US listed the group as a terrorist organization or you stop adding the category. Do we even have a source clarifying that there was a systematic designation by the US of terrorist groups in the early 1970s? The link you provided deals only with the EU list, a post-11/9 construct. Prior to 2001 PFLP was not designated as a terrorist organisation by the EU/EEC. --Soman 09:57, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The category 'Designated terrorist organizations' was created as an alternative to the category 'Terrorist organizations' to get away from the obvious POV problems involved with that category. The very point of 'Designated terrorist organizations' is that it can be clearly sourced who designates a group as terrorist, rather than arbitrary judgements. --Soman 08:15, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review (4/13)[edit]

This article is clearly in the beginning stages of writing but does a good job in the opening paragraph about the division that formed the PRFLP. Though understanding that information is most likely limited for this group, There are some missing sections of information that need to be added to help readers better understand the group. There is explanation of why this group split from the original group but there needs to be a section of their particular ideology and why the PRFLP is a group. Depending on information availability, there should be a section on any type of involvement in a conflict or attack. Maybe something interesting to look more into is whether the group left any reminiscence to lead to the creation of another group or influenced any other group to formulate. The final suggestion would be to include a brief history of the conflict for which this group and other groups are fighting over so the reader understands why they were created.
