Requested move 29 May 2024[edit]

NoBullNOBULL – The official company name is NOBULL, not NoBull, and is always stylized NOBULL Jcostas81 (talk) 13:01, 10 May 2024 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). Jcostas81 (talk) 14:22, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The page itself https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NoBull has since been edited to reflect the fact the company refers to itself as NOBULL, and not NoBull, in all of its branding, website communications, etc. Would like to move the page so that it reflects the changes made to the content of the page.Jcostas81 (talk) 14:22, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Jcostas81 (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
If you work for NoBull or they're your client or they're otherwise compensating you in anyway, please say so on your userpage per Wikimedia's Terms of Service.
Note to closer of this discussion: Jcostas81 improperly filed a technical move request while this was open. I have asked the mover to revert it given this discussion, previous move history, and objections at WP:RMT earlier this month (permalink) on the grounds of WP:TRADEMARK. I would undo it but want to avoid move warring. Thanks! Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 15:40, 29 May 2024 (UTC) Struck an error I made at 20:03, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Updated my user page. As noted in earlier comments, the company goes by NOBULL per its website and all other branding and marketing communications, and trying to correct this. Jcostas81 (talk) 16:34, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per WP:TITLETM, MOS:ALLCAPS, and MOS:TM. Wikipedia does not blindly follow the stylings promoted by companies. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:30, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This Trademark https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=86505091&caseSearchType=US_APPLICATION&caseType=DEFAULT&searchType=statusSearch matches website and marketing materials. Jcostas81 (talk) 16:53, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't matter here. Wikipedia has its own styling guidelines. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:56, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: The links above describe Wikipedia style for how we handle corporate branding. We follow our own style rather than that of the company. SchreiberBike | ⌨  17:47, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: All-caps (a popular branding gimmick) are rightly shunned to avoid involuntary advertising for the brand. If this page is to be moved anywhere, it should probably be to Nobull. Gawaon (talk) 18:01, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move to Nobull if there is opposition to the move as proposed. Steel1943 (talk) 01:50, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: While I have no strong preference on way or the other, this case form is also used by various news outlets: [1] [2] [3]. Gawaon (talk) 06:04, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose move. This is a clear stylization. O.N.R. (talk) 06:07, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose for all the reasons mentioned above. Wikipedia doesn't follow brand preferences on styling their names. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:18, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose original proposal per all other arguments. Wikipedia doesn't need to follow the respective brand/company guidelines regarding the naming of the company. If this article insisted to be moved, it should be moved to Nobull or at least making the article Nobull as a redirect to NoBull if the redirect hasn't yet created. 103.111.100.82 (talk) 01:52, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
