Courtney Love[edit]

Courtney Love considers herself Jewish. Her mother was adopted by Catholics, but her mother's mother is Jewish.

She definitely has called herself a "banzai jew" in the past.

Why is there even a list of jewish musicians? What has somebodys religion or cultural background has to do with his/her occupation or hobby? What significance is there? Have people to be reminded that there are in fact jews who play music? Are there people who appreciate music differently because of the fact? Well there probably are but wikipedia doesn't need an article to cater to that kind of racism. I really question that this artice needs to be. Kargoroth 04:07, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Kargoroth[reply]

Being Jewish is a cultural, ethnic, &/or religious identity. Because Jews are an oft-maligned minority (2% of the U.S & world population), Jews, like other minorities, like to point to those from the group who have excelled...just like blacks, Irish, Latinx, etc. might. Many Jews, and others who respect them, enjoy knowing who is or isn't. Sometimes it's a fun surprise. Anyway, it's fun and interesting to many. 97.113.186.119 (talk) 04:22, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
