Things I can't source except from tour pages and blogs ...[edit]

... and have therefore left out, but someone who can read Georgian may be able to find reliable sources.

  • Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site
  • Macha Castle, dating to the 11th or 12th century, when Lagodekhi was the centre of the Macha Kingdom. This is called Machi Castle by the Georgian APA and Machistsikhe by Lonely Planet; other places on teh net say it is also known as Tamari's Castle (after a Queen Tamari) - I still can't find reliable sources on it!

One such source - it has a donations button prominently displayed so I have not used it. Yngvadottir (talk) 17:52, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That was the wall I fetched up against, too, but the claim is widespread. I wondered whether some other transliteration or name was being used, but UNESCO's own list is so aggressively map/graphic-based, I found it impossible to search. Thanks for looking; it looks as though it will have to stay out of the article. Yngvadottir (talk) 20:02, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
