Navagraha temples[edit]

@Bhagya sri113 and Chronikhiles: Just found that there are nine ancient temples in the Chennai region that are dedicated to the Navagrahas, and Kundrathur Nageswarar Temple is one of them, (dedicated to Rahu). The other eight are:

Surya: Agastheeshwarar temple, Kolampakkam
Chandra: Somanadheeswarar temple, Somangalam
Angaraka: Vaitheeswarar temple, Poonamallee
Budha: Sundareswarar temple, Kovur
Guru: Ramanatheswarar temple, Porur
Shukra: Velleeswarar temple, Mangadu
Shani: Agastheeshwarar temple, Polhichalur
Kethu: Neelakandeswarar temple, Gerugambakkam

Most of these do not have articles. I think separate articles need to be created for each of these. What do you guys think? Rasnaboy (talk) 06:18, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you both. Will see if I could glean more info on these. Most of these are ancient temples, so once sources for the date of completion for these temples are available, let's add them to the table in Heritage structures in Chennai. Rasnaboy (talk) 11:54, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
