manuscript and expert available[edit]

Attention to User:Zigzig20s, Tennessee Technological University professor Michael E. Birdwell has an unpublished manuscript about the church, seems obviously useful to develop this article. Perhaps he could be telephoned or otherwise contacted? He is an avid preservationist apparently, i think i heard of his campaigning to save Alvin York-related stuff.

Specificaly, Publications by Michael E. Birdwell mentions: "What a Long Strange Trip Its Been: One Hundred Years of the First Presbyterian Church and its Relationship with Cookeville and Putnam County, Tennessee. Yet to find a publisher."

I disagree, I think. He is an established subject matter expert. Hmm, there is Wikipedia:Expert editors about that. But basically I am pretty sure it is okay to cite an expert about factual information. From what I know about peer review and editorial process in getting publications through journals, his manuscript is probably better / more reliable than any finally-published article will be, anyhow. :) --Doncram (talk) 02:12, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I only add referenced content on Wikipedia and let the sources speak for themselves. Our readers need to be able to double-check our sources. So if it's unpublished, I won't add it.Zigzig20s (talk) 10:23, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
