I work in a standards support group. We were just advised that 10-4 was cancelled without the naming of a replacement. There are 10 standards total.

Merger proposal[edit]

FIPS 10-4 appears to be the name of a standard that encompasses both FIPS 10 digraphs and regional tetragraphs. If this is correct (an expert will need to verify), then it makes sense to leave this page separate -- although it should be edited to reflect its larger scope. See also Talk:FIPS 10#Merger proposal. –Gerrit Erasmus (talk) 18:10, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that List of FIPS region codes should be included in the merge.
It's important to note that FIPS 10-x is deprecated and references to the standard should be in the past tense.[1]Danorton (talk) 18:05, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Update needed[edit]

As this FIPS standard has been withdrawn, the article needs to be updated to refer to the standard in the past tense and the superseding standard needs to be referenced.[2]Danorton (talk) 18:34, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
