Christian Sharps 4-barrel Pepperbox Derringer[edit]

This article should have information and, ideally, a photo added of the Christian Sharps 4-barreled pepperbox derringer. It was one of the two most popular pepperboxes in the Old West. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepperbox#Revival Phantom in ca (talk) 17:35, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sharps rifle company history correction[edit]

I believe it would be best to correct some of the information in the article about Christian Sharps that pertains to the rebirth of the Sharps company and rifles in the 1980's. Some of your information in the article is incorrect, and does not give credit to another man that was largely responsible for it's rebirth. Not to take away from anyone else mentioned in the article, but the company was started back up and the rifles started to be reproduced in Richland, WA, by John Schoffstall and Wolfgang Droege. They moved to Big Timber, MT in 1980 to start the C Sharps Arms Company, which is still in existence today. Shortly thereafter, John and Wolfgang dissoved their business partnership, with John retaining C Sharps Arms Company as well as the "Old Reliable" trade mark. Wolfgang then moved just up the street and opened Shiloh Rifle Company. Both companies are still in existence today, and build the legendary Sharps rifles. They are both considered the "real deal" and the quality of what they produce is second to none. I just feel that the portion of the article pertaining to the rebirth of the company and resurrection of the rifles needs some correction and that credit needs to be given to Mr Schoffstall as one of the original gents who decided to bring the company and rifles back to life. Mr Schoffstall passed away this past February, and I believe he needs to be given proper credit for what he helped do. I can put you in touch with his son, Zach, who now runs the company, for details if you wish. 72.255.177.124 (talk) 16:06, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
