Districts without confirmed cases[edit]
@Shanze1: The reference in the Districts without confirmed cases section doesn't mention anything about the Krishnagiri district and the district got its first case two days ago. So, shall we remove the section for now? - SUN EYE 1 16:44, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
- Suneye1, Yes, the source should've been a media bulletin. But govt still counts Krishnagiri as a green zone. They must've tagged the case to some other district. I'll remove the section nevertheless as the table above describes the situation. Shanze1 (talk) 04:38, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
First Paragraph[edit]
Shanze1, The first Paragraph mentions about the religious congregation incident which is 15 days old. Currently we have 3,550 cases and 1500 people attended the event from the state. So, the current cases directly linked to the cluster should be probably less than 50%. I think it should be moved to the 2nd or the 3rd paragraph since there is also another developing cluster related to the market. You are the expert here, what do you think? - SUN EYE 1 06:57, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- Suneye1, Yes, the lead needs an update. That Delhi cluster can be moved down as you say, and we can add about the developing cluster. I'll do it in a bit. Shanze1 (talk) 07:10, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- I propose, we move it to new section named "Clusters" or something similar. And also include Koyembedu cluster.- Timbaa -> ping me 07:24, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Number of Districts[edit]
HeyShanze1 Bulletin and dashboard lists 37 districts only(Mayiladuthurai is not listed separately). We should change the numbers in the article.- Timbaa -> ping me 07:21, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Graphs[edit]
HiShanze1 and the IP editor(who updates frequently), as days go by data is going to increase on graphs. Do you guys have anything in mind to avoid the overcrowding of axes tick marks in the bar charts. It is not possible to implement same formatting as the line charts. There are discussion about this over at Template talk:Graph:Chart. Any ideas?- Timbaa -> ping me 07:25, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- Not sure what to do other than widening it. Will have wait and see what others do about it. Shanze1 (talk) 08:48, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- Shanze1, Okay, lets wait. - Timbaa -> ping me 13:54, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry, But I'm a noob, I usually just update data. Don't know much about formatting graphs. Mostly I look around the page and learn..So You guys can take a call on what to do..I'll just follow..Didn't read this page in a few days sorry for a late reply 219.91.177.92 (talk) 16:27, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Shanze1, Can we convert them to area charts (maybe with interpolation), instead of widening it and scrolling? Example at:COVID-19 pandemic in Russia - Timbaaa -> ping me 12:37, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
- Shanze1, Okay, lets wait. - Timbaa -> ping me 13:54, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
Statistics[edit]
Graphs in the article are getting bigger. Shall we move all the stat graphs into a separate article and use Template:excerpt to show only selected 2-4 graphs graphs in main article. Usage example at:COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil#Statistics.- Timbaaa -> ping me 15:40, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
Pinging Shanze1. - Timbaaa -> ping me 15:41, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
- Agree Sure. Just saw Brazil page, seems good. Also, we can have smaller graph dimensions - can just use Brazil's for that too imo. Our graphs look huge right now. Shanze1 (talk) 15:47, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
Shanze1, Timbaaa: I didn't notice this discussion before I proposed for merging the article COVID-19 pandemic in Tamil Nadu/Statistics into this article. I noticed that there wasn't an article about COVID-19 pandemic in India/Statistics so that's why I nominated a merger proposal. Abishe (talk) 16:51, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- Abishe, COVID-19 pandemic in India has separate article for table and graphs at Template:COVID-19 pandemic data/India medical cases. Also, TN article had more graphs on the main page, making section size bigger. Hence, the above discussion. - Timbaaa -> ping me 03:38, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, graphs were crowding the article. If needed maybe move it to template namespace as well. Shanze1 (talk) 03:57, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
Removing statistics - January 2022[edit]
I'm going for a WP:BOLD move and purge all the statistics templates as they were not updated since September 2020. The year old statistics can confuse the reader. - SUN EYE 1 12:21, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
