Prelude to the Battle/Olympic Games[edit]

Some readers may not know the reasons for the Spartan humilliation at 420BC Olympic Games (Spartans were forbidden to participate and make sacrifices to Zeus by Elean veto). Does someone opose to include a comment? M.Campos (talk) 13:16, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Battle of Mantinea (418 BC)/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

This article is very very poorly written. It is simply impossible to follow the timeline, facts, actions of the battle, and is generally incomprehensible. Maybe the author is not a native english speaker, and has some difficulty for that reason.
