23-24 April 2006 (prelude)[edit]

I question if this section is right. Pretty sure these events occurred in 2007 - see Battle of Bismarck. Can anyone please confirm? Anotherclown (talk) 21:36, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that you are correct. The incidents listed in the prelude occured in 2007 and not 2006, hence making Al Rumaythah the first incident and the Battle of Route Bismarck the second and third incidents. Horner 2008, p. 336 tacitly agrees with this in that he does not mention anything occuring on 23 and 24 April 2006, but mentions the 26 September 2006 Al Rumaythah incident. I feel that had anything occured before 26 September incident, Horner would have mentioned it. Of course, this might be wrong and if a reference can be found that specifically contradicts this I'm open to discussing, however, at the moment I support the edits that have removed this from the article and added them to the Battle of Route Bismarck article.
