"the only rider not to start the stage"[edit]

Fernandosmission, I have undone your edit, as the citation you added was essentially for the wrong fact. The citation you added was to the effect that Froome pulled out; the original citation (to the Cyclingnews.com report) was to the effect that he was the only rider to pull out and that Tinkoff-Saxo riders did not. That is seen in the results section at the bottom of the CN article, where Froome is the only rider with DNS next to him. Hope that's OK. Relentlessly (talk) 07:43, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to review this. Zwerg Nase (talk) 17:30, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  1. It is reasonably well written.

  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

Same here, just minor things:

  • Stage 12: The prose says the stage started in Andorra la Vella, but the header says Escaldes-Engordany?
  • Stage 17: In the last sentence, you should clarify wether Aru was speaking about himself or Dumoulin.
  • Stage 19: Optional: You could write about how Giant-Alpecin set Dumoulin up for his attack on the final climb. Degenkolb received special praise for staying with the climbers until the end of the stage, see his article for sources on that.

That's it :) Good job once more! Zwerg Nase (talk) 18:51, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks again, Zwerg Nase, especially for your careful edits. I could debate "triallist" with you (I'm convinced it's a valid alternate form!), but I accept that it's probably a more neutral spelling! As in the other article, I've debolded the title.
Everything else is done, I think. I'll trust you for the translation of the German! Relentlessly (talk) 19:52, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well done! I simply googled both forms and the one with only one L seemed to be the one usually used. As for the German, I doubt that translating phänomenal as "phenomenal" needs too much trust on your end ;) Zwerg Nase (talk) 19:57, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'll go with that, yeah! Thanks. Relentlessly (talk) 20:01, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stage 14 correction[edit]

I've corrected the information given in the stage 14 section. It used to say "Aru attacked and only Quintana and Rafał Majka (Tinkoff-Saxo) were able to follow", and I've changed it to "Aru attacked and only Quintana and Rafał Jesper Hansen (Tinkoff-Saxo) were able to follow". The Vuelta producers and Cyclingnews mistook Hansen for Majka. I've added a source that got it right (cyclingquotes.com), and I have a couple of links to back it up. Here's the link for Aru's attack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmu6mS5JIeg&feature=youtu.be&t=2330 . And within 5 seconds of this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmu6mS5JIeg&feature=youtu.be&t=2375 , it's very clear that the TCS rider in fact has number 205 - worn by Hansen, not Majka. Please do not revert that change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.111.81.59 (talk) 11:08, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I haven't reverted, but I have modified your edit. I don't think cyclingquotes.com is a reliable source for Wikipedia's purposes, so I have omitted the incorrect statement. Relentlessly (talk) 12:01, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. No objections about that edit from me, it's a good one. I'd like to know why you don't consider cyclingquotes.com reliable. I've always been under the impression that feltet.dk is reliable (and I've been using that source on quite a lot of edits), and cyclingquotes.com is feltet.dk in English 2.111.81.59 (talk) 13:45, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Danish cycling fan[reply]
Most sources I use (principally Cyclingnews, Velonews, Cyclingtips, L'Equipe, Het Nieuwsblad, and La Gazzetta along with other English-language newspapers) I know something about: they are organisations with well-reputed journalists and some degree of fact-checking. I have never been able to discover anything about Cyclingquotes, except that the main writer is Emil Axelgaard, about whom I know nothing. I would be interested in more information about the Danish site and its relation to Cyclingquotes... Relentlessly (talk) 13:54, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
