Mushroomhead is an American alternative metal band, they have undergone many lineup changes, leading every studio album to have a different lineup, with the only constant member being drummer Steve "Skinny" Felton. Their lineup currently consists of Felton, vocalist Jason "J Mann" Popson (who first joined in 1993; on hiatus since 2022), guitarist Dave "Gravy" Felton (who first joined in 2000), sampler, keyboardist and percussionist Rick "ST1TCH" Thomas (since 2001), bassist and keyboardist Ryan "Dr. F" Farrell (since 2012, and studio collaborator since 2006), percussionist Robert "Roberto Diablo" Godsey (since 2012), vocalist Steve "Rawk" Rauckhorst (since 2018), and guitarist Joe "Jenkins" Gaal (since 2021)

The band was founded in 1993 by vocalists Jeff "Nothing" Hatrix and Jason "J Mann" Popson, guitarist John "JJ Righteous" Sekula, bassist Joe "Mr. Murdernickel" Kilcoyne, and drummer Steve "Skinny" Felton. The were soon joined by Richie "Dinner" Moore on rhythm guitar, keyboardist Tom "Shmotz" Schmitz, and DJ Joe "DJ Virus" Lenkey.[1] After releasing their self-titled debut album in 1995, Kilcoyne was replaced by his brother, Jack "Pig Benis" Kilcoyne.
Lenkey departed the band in early 1999, he was replaced by Marko "Bronson" Vukcevich, who had previously been a video editor for the band. Next to depart was rhythm guitarist Moore, who was replaced by Skinny's brother Dave "Gravy" Felton. Sekula also left at year later, in his absence, new guitarist Felton moved to lead guitar, sampler Vukcevich moved to rhythm guitar, and Rick "ST1TCH" Thomas joined on electronics
In mid 2004, Popson also left the band due issues in his personal life.[2] He was replaced by Waylon "Wizlo" Reavis.[3] Vukcevich also departed in May 2006, he was not replaced. Meaning the band had only one guitarist.[4] Also in 2006, the band were joined by touring second drummer Daniel "Lil' Dan" Fox, he later became an official member in 2009.
In February 2012, Gravy, Lil' Dan and Pig Benis were all fired. They were replaced by Tommy Church, Ryan "Dr. F" Farrell and Robert "Roberto Diablo" Godsey respectively. Popson also returned in August 2013,[5][6] performing along side Hatrix and Reavis. Schmitz and Reavis both departed in 2015.[7] Neither were replaced, ST1TCH moved onto keyboards and Hatrix and Popson continued as two vocalists. The band were also joined by Skinny's wife Jackie LaPonza as female vocalist.[8]
Hatrix and Church both departed in March 2018.[9][10] They were replaced by roadies Steve "Rawk" Rauckhorst and Tommy "Tankx" Shaffner respectively.[11] LaPonza also became a more permanent vocalist.[12] La Ponza and Shaffner departed in 2021, the latter was replaced by Joe "Jenkins" Gaal. In 2022, J Mann and ST1TCH went on touring hiatus, they were replaced by Scott Beck and Aydin Michael.[13] The band were also rejoined by Dave Felton.[14]
