Poonam Devnani is a well-known name in the world of YouTube who is an influencer chef and an expert in making more and better food with less and she is also known for Masala Kitchen (MK) and Maa Yeh Kaise Karoon? (MYKK?) is also the founder of YouTube channel. In this article we will tell you about his life.

Early life and education

Poonam Devnani was born in a middle class family in Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh. Since childhood, he was very fond of cooking. He inherited the skill of cooking delicious food with less ingredients from his mother. He also made this art his career. When she was 8 years old, her father died. From the 8th class itself, he started cooking by reading recipes in newspapers and magazines. At this time he was interested in only two things, one was studies and the other was cooking. She wanted to study further but her dream remained unfulfilled due to her marriage in childhood. She cooked such delicious food at her in-laws' house that her father-in-law called her "Annapurna".

Poonam had to face a lot of trouble from her in-laws. At that time, she was not allowed to wear shoes in the kitchen and hence she suddenly developed pneumonia when she was full time pregnant. There came a time in the ups and downs of life due to which she started her cooking classes in 2004 with only 4 girls, but due to their hard work and the skill of explaining things in a very simple manner, a huge number of learners soon appeared. The number kept increasing and at the same time they were also called for judging in many food competitions, colleges and institutions.

Career

After a few years, when his health started deteriorating, he never stopped teaching because of his dedication towards his work, and tried to spread his cooking art to as many people as possible. His family supported him a lot in this endeavor, due to which he started a YouTube channel “Masala Kitchen” in the year 2017.

He has two daughters and a son in his family - elder daughter Reema is a legal advisor in Mumbai, younger daughter Nikita is a bank manager in the US and son, Pranjal – co-founder of MASALA KITCHEN after working in advertising for 5 years. Who along with the team manages/handles their YouTube channel.

Even when he started his career on YouTube, his path was not easy and he did not earn any money for the first year, but he continued his hard work and kept uploading videos to teach people his special remedies. Then in the year 2018, the video of “Mango Bread Cake” went viral on her channel and then she completely believed that the path she is following is absolutely right.

Poonam's first fan interaction happened in Mumbai when she was buying something with her daughter in a market store. His daughter went a little ahead and Poonam started hearing her name coming from behind. A large crowd had gathered around her. Her daughter felt that something had broken with her mother and so the store staff came around. But in reality, many of his fans were happy to see him there and were insisting on getting their pictures clicked. This was in 2018 when he had 60,000 subscribers.

The strangest fan interaction happened on his birthday. When her family organized a surprise party in a hotel in Gwalior, after seeing Poonam ji's photo on the decoration of the party, three of her fans waited for her in the lobby of the hotel for more than 4 hours. When Poonam reached there, they also got photographs clicked with them and Poonam also invited those fans to the party.

Within no time, the family of Poonam's YouTube channel reached 6.9 million subscribers and till now she has uploaded more than 1400 food recipes.
