Draft:Winston Craig (chauffeur)
Winston Craig was a chauffeur who drove and served as a valet governors of Alabama. He advised governor Jim Folsom on issues repated to African Americans.[1]
A play is based on his story.[2]
He was appointed to the board of Tuskegee Institute. Gov. John Patterson replaced him with a state patrolman.[3]
Craig was disptched by Folsom to meetings of black leaders and to help register black voters.[4]
