Khurshed Kakhorov (born February 20, 1992) is a Tajikistani-German mixed martial artist. He is currently signed to the MMA promotion the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in PFL Europe's bantamweight division. He won the 2023 Europe Bantamweight Championship. A professional mixed martial arts competitor since 2017, he has previously fought in Bellator MMA.
Mixed martial arts career[edit]
Early career[edit]
Kakhorov started his professional MMA career in 2017 and mainly fought in Germany and Poland. He amassed a record of 7–0 prior to being signed by Bellator.[1] Around this time, he won the EFM Bantamweight Championship at EFM 4.[2]
Bellator MMA[edit]
In his Bellator debut, Kakhorov faced Kaloyan Konev on October 19, 2021, at Dana White's Contender Series 44.[3] He won the bout by unanimous decision.[4][5]
Kakhorov faced Brett Johns on February 25, 2022 at Bellator 275.[6] He lost the bout via ground and pound TKO in the third round.[7]
Professional Fighters League[edit]
2023 season[edit]
In his PFL debut, Kakhorov faced Moktar Benkaci on July 8, 2023, at PFL Europe 2. He won the fight by unanimous decision.[8]
Heading into the bantamweight tournament semi-final, Kakhorov next faced Ali Taleb on September 30, 2023, at PFL Europe 3. He won the bout by split decision.[9][10]
Kakhorov faced Frans Mlambo on 8 December 2023, at PFL Europe 4.[11][12] He won the bout by second-round TKO to win the 2023 Bantamweight tournament and the $100,000 collective prize.[13][14]
2024 season[edit]
Kakhorov is scheduled to face Bondo Kikadze on June 8, 2024, at PFL Europe 2.[15]
