John D. Edwards was a politician in Florida. Mary Edwards Bryan was his daughter.

He served three terms in the territorial legislature. He had thousands of acres of land before struggling financially. He lost re-election to Democrat William D. Moseley, who later became governor.[1]


Major. Early settler of Florida. He came to Leon County, Florida in 1825.[1]
