"Fine" is a song by American pop project Lemon Demon, created by American musician Neil Cicierega. It was released as the lead single of Lemon Demon's fifth studio album, Dinosaurchestra (2006), on April 13, 2005. It's the project's highest-streamed song due to usage on TikTok.

Background[edit]

"Fine" was released alongside "Samuel and Rosella" as a single on April 13, 2005.[2] In the album's commentary, Neil Cicierega described the track's feel as "surfy new wave", using synthesizers, accordion, guitar, bass, and drums for its composition. The song is primarily composed in the key of C major, while the pre-choruses are in G major.[1]

Reception[edit]

The song received favorable commentary for its composition, being described by the Bandcamp Daily as a "rocking hook factor[y]".[3] "Fine" was a sleeper hit; in late 2022, the song became a trend on TikTok,[4] heavily boosting the number of on-demand streams it received on Spotify and YouTube. On July 22, 2024, "Fine" surpassed "Touch-Tone Telephone" in plays, subsequently making it Lemon Demon's highest-streamed song with over 100 million streams.[2]
