  • Comment: Most of the items in the 'References' section aren't references at all, and none of them are cited anywhere. The items in the 'Source' section need to be detailed in English so that we can actually see what they are, especially if they are to count towards referencing and notability. In short, I've no idea where any of this information is coming from, or how reliable it is. DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:03, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

Dog fights[edit]

The history of dog fighting in the territory of Azerbaijan goes back to ancient times. Battles were organized especially on holidays. Dogs are specially fed for this purpose. In order to minimize the weak points of dogs in fights, the ear and tail areas are clipped. This operation is usually performed when the dogs are still small. Even today these battles exist. Fans of dog fights can be found in almost every region of Azerbaijan.

Interesting fact[edit]

Studies have shown that already b.e. 3,000 years ago, locally domesticated dogs in Azerbaijan helped people in hunting and protecting yards and animals.[6]
