subcategories[edit]

There need to be subcategories made for this category as it is already fairly large but it is still underpopulated.

Category:Port cities in the British Isles should probably be moved over here my first thought was to divide this category into subcategories for the British isles, Mainland and Scandinavia. I am concerned these aren't precisely enough defined.

We could also divide this category by country. Port cities in the British Isles would change to Port cities in the United Kingdom. Some countries don't have very many ports though so categories like Port cities in Estonia would be very small some like Port cities of Switzerland would be useless.

Another possibility would be to divide them by body of water but that could also lead to ambiguity as many bodies of water have poorly defined boundaries. This could also lead to other problems as some bodies of water the Atlantic ocean for example border more then one continent.

I'm thinking a combination of the last 2. Irate velociraptor 08:39, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
